Abstract:
Briefly, embodiments of methods and/or systems of detecting and image of a human face in a digital image are disclosed. For one embodiment, as an example, parameters of a neural network may be developed to generate object labels for digital images. The developed parameters may be refined by a neural network to generate signal sample value levels corresponding to probability that a human face may be depicted at a localized region of a digital image.
Abstract:
Software authenticates a first user of a first mobile device and a second user of a second mobile device. Each user agrees or has previously agreed to share video data captured by the user with other authenticated users. The software determines whether the first mobile device is located proximate to the second mobile device. Then the software receives video data captured by the second mobile device and transmits the video data to the first mobile device for display along with an annotation, if the first mobile device is proximate to the second mobile device. The annotation indicates the location of the second mobile device relative to the first mobile device and includes data as to camera angle of the second mobile device received from the second mobile device. The software persistently stores the video data upon receipt of a command from the user of the first mobile device.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for identifying users according to their activity are disclosed. The identification of a user includes accessing a user activity log having a plurality of identifiers and corresponding activity information for each identifier, determining identifiers having correlating activity information, and assigning identifiers having correlating activity information to a common user.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system and method for managing mailing list newsletter messages for a recipient user, and organizing such messages in accordance with a receiving user's interests. The present disclosure enables novel organizational tools for emails by intuitively organizing received newsletters and providing highly visible features within a user's inbox respective the newsletters. Organization of received newsletters is ensured through ranking users' mailing lists according to his/her interest in them, based on actions made by the respective user, in addition to actions of other users receiving the same newsletters. Additionally, upon reception of such newsletters, the present disclosure provides a specialized view, in addition to added functionality within a user's inbox, thereby enhancing a user's experience and engagement with received messages of a newsletter.
Abstract:
An image browser alternates between displaying an image grid with less perspective distortion and displaying it with more perspective distortion. The distortion amount is determined by the grid's angle of rotation. If the angle is zero, then the view is perpendicular and has no distortion. In one embodiment, the user manually switches between the less distorted view and the more distorted view. In another embodiment, the switching of views is performed automatically based on whether the image grid is moving or stationary. If the image grid is moving, then it is shown with a more distorted view. If the image grid is stationary, then it is shown with a less distorted view. In yet another embodiment, the switching of views is performed automatically based on the scrolling velocity (i.e., speed and direction). In this embodiment, scrolling and tilting are integrated such that as scrolling velocity changes, tilt angle changes also.
Abstract:
Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content searching, generating, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. The disclosed systems and methods provide systems and methods for automatic creation of a formatted, readable transcript of multimedia content, which is derived, extracted, determined, or otherwise identified from the multimedia content. The formatted, readable transcript can be utilized to increase accuracy and efficiency in search engine optimization, as well as identification of relevant digital content available for communication to a user.
Abstract:
As provided herein, a primary content provider (e.g., a book retailer) may present a campaign for a product (e.g., a novel), comprising non-published content and a keyword (e.g., the novel title), to a permitted content provider (e.g., the publisher of the novel). The permitted content provider may be presented with an option to bid on the keyword. Responsive to the bid being accepted by the primary content provider, a cumulative bid is determined based upon an accumulation of an existing bid from the primary content provider and the bid. The non-published content, but not second non-published content of a second primary content provider, may be selected to be provided to a user based upon the cumulative bid exceeding a second bid for the keyword by the second primary content provider. In this way, content that may be relevant to the user may be identified and provided to the user.
Abstract:
A method of installing an application on a mobile user device is disclosed. A request for the application is received. Information is received related to the mobile user device on which the application is to be installed. A version of an application is determined to send in response to the request for the application and the information related to the mobile user device. The application version is sent to the mobile user device. Information is received related to the performance of the application version. Adapted application determination information is stored related to at least a portion of the received information.
Abstract:
The present teaching relates to monitoring data in a plurality of data sources of heterogeneous types. In one example, a request is received for monitoring data in the data sources of heterogeneous types. One or more metrics are determined based on the request. The request is converted into one or more queries based on the one or more metrics. Each of the one or more queries is directed to at least one of the data sources of heterogeneous types. A monitoring task is created for monitoring the data in the data sources based on the one or more queries in response to the request.
