Abstract: The present application is directed to an alignment device suited for use with a microphone. The device may include an end that is configured to contact a user's face, an attachment portion, with the attachment portion having an attachment piece configured to attach to a microphone. The device also can include a tendril extending between the end and the attachment portion. The tendril can extend along a length of the microphone to a point past a grille of the microphone. The end can be offset from the grille to maintain the user's face a distance from the grille.

Abstract: Disclosed examples generally include methods and apparatuses related to microphone units, such as may be found in implantable medical devices (e.g., cochlear implants). Microphone units generally include a microphone element connected to a chamber having a concave floor with the chamber covered by a membrane. Microphone units can be configured to produce an output based on pressure waves (e.g., sound waves) that reach the membrane. In an example, a microphone unit has a pressurized gas within the chamber below the membrane such that, while in a static state, the membrane deflects away from the chamber floor.

Abstract: A smart acoustic information recognition-based welded weld impact quality determination method and system, comprising: controlling a tip of an ultrasonic impact gun (1) to perform impact treatment on a welded weld with different treatment pressures, treatment speeds, treatment angles and impact frequencies, obtaining acoustic signals during the impact treatment, calculating feature values of the acoustic signals, and constructing an acoustic signal sample set including various stress conditions; marking the acoustic signal sample set according to impact treatment quality assessment results for the welded weld; establishing a multi-weight neural network model, and using the marked acoustic signal sample set to train the multi-weight neural network model; obtaining feature values of welded weld impact treatment acoustic signals to be determined, inputting the feature values into the trained multi-weight neural network model, and outputting determination results for welded weld impact treatment quality to be determined.

For example, a mapping sensor, such as an ultra-wideband (UWB) sensor may be used to generate a spatial map of an enclosed space defined by an enclosure. The mapping sensor may also be used to determine a location of an occupant within the enclosed space. Abstract: A system including a work string and an acoustic device for sensing or transmitting an acoustic signal at least partially traveling through a borehole fluid within a wellbore and a method of operation. The acoustic device includes a compensation fluid, an acoustic transducer at least partially disposed in the compensation fluid and configured to sense the acoustic signal, and a metallic cover that separates the compensation fluid from the borehole fluid and configured to deform in response to a pressure difference between the borehole fluid and the compensation fluid. The acoustic device is conveyed into the wellbore and an electric signal is sent or received with the processor to or from the acoustic transducer.
