Abstract: A transparent display apparatus disposed inside a vehicle is disclosed. the transparent display apparatus comprising: a transparent display panel configured to transmit light from a first surface to a second surface; a rotation part coupled to one end of the transparent display panel; an anchoring part fixed to a ceiling of the vehicle, wherein the anchoring part includes a motor coupled to at least a portion of the rotation part and configured to rotate the rotation part about a longitudinal direction of the rotation part; an interface unit mounted inside the transparent display panel and/or the vehicle to receive a user command; and a control unit operatively connected to the interface unit and the motor, and configured to perform control so that the transparent display panel is switched to a plurality of modes based on a user command received from the interface unit.

Abstract: An embodiment vehicle includes an audio video navigation (AVN) device configured to execute an application, a display configured to display a screen of the application, an input device configured to receive a command from a user, and a processor configured to receive a backup command through the input device, in response to the backup command, generate snapshot data of the application being executed, extract a keyword based on the screen displayed on the display, generate metadata corresponding to the snapshot data and including a keyword, receive a restoration command that includes the keyword, the restoration command received thorough the input device, based on the received restoration command, select the metadata including the keyword, and restore data of the application based on the snapshot data corresponding to the selected metadata.

Abstract: Method and system for checking availability of an online function of a voice recognition system in a motor vehicle. A communication connection is provided between a communication interface in the motor vehicle and an external device, where it is determined whether the provided communication connection exists or has been interrupted at a current time. If the communication connection exists, a check is carried out in order to determine whether the online function of the voice recognition system of the motor vehicle is available via the existing communication connection. If the online function is not available and/or the communication connection has been interrupted, a notification describing a lack of availability of the online function of the voice recognition system is provided in the motor vehicle. The notification is provided irrespective of actual activation and/or use of the voice recognition system.

The display device may include at least a first and a second screen, configured to present respective display contents. The extendable screen may be arranged in a housing of the display device and configured to able to be shifted by an adjustment device between an extended position, in which the extendable screen is extended out of the housing, and a retracted position, in which the extendable screen is recessed in the housing. The display device may include a control unit configured to activate the adjustment device to shift the extendable screen into the extended position, and to display the display content on the extendable screen, when a user action for moving display content from the second screen onto the first screen is detected.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques for controlling settings (and/or functions) of a vehicle via steering device finger tapping. A method generally includes receiving vibration information from a plurality of vibration sensors associated with a steering device, wherein the plurality of vibration sensors are configured to detect vibration on the steering device caused by a user of the vehicle; in response to receiving the vibration information, determining a user command based on the vibration information, determining a probability that the user intends to employ the user command via the vibration caused by the user, determining whether the probability is equal to or above a threshold, and selectively transmitting or not transmitting, to a controllable device, a control command corresponding to the user command based on whether the probability is determined to be equal to or above the threshold.
