Abstract: The autonomous controller includes: a processor configured to control autonomous driving, calculate a safety area, and determine conversion into an autonomous driving mode based on a current location of the driver's seat; and a storage configured to store information about the safety area, data, and an algorithm run by the processor. The processor is configured to convert a manual driving mode into the autonomous driving mode when the current location of the driver's seat is within the safety area or when a request for conversion into the autonomous driving mode is input while driving in the manual driving mode, and move the current location of the driver's seat into the safety area and convert the manual driving mode into the autonomous driving mode when the current location of the driver's seat is not within the safety area.

Abstract: Method and system for checking availability of an online function of a voice recognition system in a motor vehicle. A communication connection is provided between a communication interface in the motor vehicle and an external device, where it is determined whether the provided communication connection exists or has been interrupted at a current time. If the communication connection exists, a check is carried out in order to determine whether the online function of the voice recognition system of the motor vehicle is available via the existing communication connection. If the online function is not available and/or the communication connection has been interrupted, a notification describing a lack of availability of the online function of the voice recognition system is provided in the motor vehicle. The notification is provided irrespective of actual activation and/or use of the voice recognition system.

Abstract: A sound bypass device configured to transmit engine-generated sound pulses from an engine of a vehicle to an auditory environment whilst preventing the flow of gases to the auditory environment, the sound bypass device comprising: a sound inlet configured to receive gases exiting or entering the engine of the vehicle; a sound outlet configured to transmit sound pulses to the auditory environment; a chamber connected to the sound inlet at a first end and to the sound outlet at a second end, the chamber being enclosed between the sound inlet and the sound outlet; and a first membrane located within the chamber, the first membrane being configured to transmit engine-generated sound pulses from the gases whilst preventing the movement of gases through the sound bypass device; wherein the sound outlet is defined by a second membrane extending radially from the second end of the chamber, the second membrane being configured to emit sound pulses from the chamber to the auditory environment.

Abstract: A system for controlling vibration of a steering wheel of a vehicle, includes a controller connected to an information obtaining apparatus and the steering wheel. The vibration parameter includes a vibration frequency, a vibration amplitude, a vibration duration, or a vibration direction.

Data may be collected by connecting to a port of an on board diagnostic bus at the vehicle or this data may be received via a wireless communication interface. Collected data may be stored at a database and this data may be analyzed to identify whether a person at a vehicle is authorized to access or drive the vehicle. This collected data may also be analyzed to identify faults that may occur at a vehicle and recommendations to responding those faults may be provided to a driver of the vehicle via a user interface such as a speaker or display at the vehicle.
