When Pz is the number of the permanent magnets and N is the number of the segments, a relationship of N=Pz(K−0.5) is satisfied. Pz is an even number that is greater than or equal to four. K is a constant and is a natural number that is greater than or equal to two. The plurality of undercuts includes at least one set of undercuts arranged at an undercut interval that differs from a reference angle θz. The reference angle θz is specified by a relational expression of θz=(360 degrees/Pz)±(360 degrees/2N).

    摘要: A valve timing control device for an internal combustion engine is provided which is devised to shorten an axial length of a brush retaining portion of a retaining member and thereby reduce in size whole of the device.The retaining member 28 attached to a cover member includes a power-feeding brush 30a, 30b in a brush guide portion 29a, 29b of the brush retaining portion 28a. The power-feeding brush is slidable and in contact with a slip ring 26a, 26b provided to an electric motor. A concave-groove-shaped spring receiving chamber 41 is provided lateral to the brush guide portion such that the spring receiving chamber is in parallel with the power-feeding brush. A torsion coil spring 42 that biases the power-feeding brush toward the slip ring via its another end portion 42c is provided in the spring receiving chamber.

    摘要: Provided is an electric-motor-driven valve timing control device for an internal combustion engine with which the valve timing control device can be operated even when a portion of coils of an electric motor has broken. The electric motor has two systems of switching brushes, each system being constructed by a set of positive-electrode and negative-electrode switching brushes. When an electricity-feeding line used for electricity-feeding to one system of the two systems has broken, the valve timing control device is configured to stop energization to the other system or reduce an energization amount to the other system, after having energized the other system of switching brushes until such time that a predetermined time has expired from a start of the engine, thus enabling the relative rotational phase of a camshaft to be converted to a phase suitable for starting.

    摘要: A power conversion and distribution system. In one embodiment low voltage source components convert a high voltage AC power source to a relatively low voltage supply and provide a direct current output. First superconductor wires carry current from the low voltage source components to a load, and second superconductor wires carry current from the load to the low voltage source components. Individual ones of the first wires are grouped with individual ones of the second wires so that wires connected to carry current in opposite directions are in such sufficiently close proximity that additives of self-fields generated by individual ones of the wires during power transmission result in reduction of the magnetic fringe field generated, thereby increasing the current carrying capacity of the wires.

The core side position regulator has a projection part projected toward an armature core in the axial direction, and a fitting groove portion defined on both sides of the projection part in a circumferential direction. The relative position in the circumferential direction is regulated by an engagement between the projection part and a slit of the first connection plate. The relative position in the axial direction is regulated by an engagement between sides of the slit and the fitting groove portion. A width of the projection part in the circumferential direction is larger than a width of a brush in the circumferential direction.
