    摘要: A tapered roller bearing has an outer ring and an inner ring, a row of rollers between the rings and a cage or separator. The inner ring has spaced apart flanges or lips between which the rollers move. The cage includes an annular ring at the radially smaller side which has undulations circumferentially around that ring. The indulations have axially inwardly directed crests that rest against and are pretensioned to urge the rollers toward the other inner ring flange. The webs of the cage between neighboring rollers have radial projections which engage the flange at the radially smaller side of the bearing. The distance between the plane which passes through the axial end surfaces of those radial projections and the plane which is defined by the tips of the undulation crests against the ends of the rollers is slightly greater than the difference between the distance apart of the flanges and the length of the rollers between the flanges.

    摘要: An improved roller bearing assembly of the type comprising an inner race having a cylindrical riding track; an outer race coaxial with the inner race, having an inner cylindrical riding track facing the outer riding track of the inner race; and a series of rollers mounted between the riding tracks. This roller bearing assembly is improved in that each of its rollers has at least two cylindrical riding surfaces of different radii, the cylindrical riding surface of longer radius exclusively contacting the outer race riding track while the cylindrical riding surface of smaller radii exclusively contacts the inner race riding track. The radius of the riding track of the outer race equals the sum of the radius of the riding track of the inner race plus the longer and smaller radii of the riding surfaces of one roller. The ratio of the radius of the riding track of the outer race over the radius of the riding track of the inner race equals the ratio of the longer radius over the shorter radius.

    摘要: There is disclosed a slide roller bearing including a race body, circulating rollers, spacers and upper and lower casing covers. The precision-machined track body defines on its circumference an endless circulating track which is provided with at least a pair of longitudinal channels and a center bank on the load-carrying side thereof and which is formed by a flat surface on the non-load-carrying side thereof. The spacers which retain the rollers in aligned state along the circulating track are each formed by a center supported body and a pair of spacing strips integrally formed at opposite lateral sides of the center body. The center body is provided with front and rear projections with upright sliding faces perpendicular to the axis of the rollers. The spacing strips are smaller than the rollers in length and have a thickness smaller than the diameter of the rollers. Each spacing strip has on its front and rear sides concave cylindrical faces of a radius of curvature substantially same as that of the circumferential surface of the rollers. The upper cover is provided with a pair of openings on opposite sides of a center retainer band and inwardly embossed guide portions substantially of U-shape in section in center portions contiguous to the non-load-carrying side of the circulating track, while the lower cover is provided with an inwardly embossed guide portion substantially of U-shape in section longitudinally along a center portion facing the non-load-carrying side of the circulating track.

The bearing includes a shell structure for guiding the rolling elements to follow continuous pathways. Each pair of adjacent rolling elements are separated from contact with one another by a separating roller having a convex longitudinal cross section which engages the concave portions of the rolling elements with line contact.

Secondary rotating elements are interposed between the load bearing rotating elements to prevent their mutual contact and are in turn held in position by retaining rings fastened to the race opposite their location. All elements are in rolling contact only, so friction is minimized. In some of the devices, secondary rotating elements may carry part of the load; others are capable of rolling contact speed changes.

    摘要: The bearing capacity of a rotary rock bit is increased even though the total number of rollers in the roller bearing system is actually reduced. A multiplicity of individual separator elements and a multiplicity of cylindrical rollers are positioned around the bearing pin of the rotary rock bit, between the bearing pin and the cutter member. The separator elements are alternatively positioned between cylindrical rollers. The separator elements assist in maintaining the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical rollers substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bearing pin and provide a material for the rollers to slide against that is more compatible with the rollers than when the rollers are sliding against each other.

    摘要: A roller bearing assembly employing a plurality of elliptical roller bearings in surface contact and arranged to provide improved alignment in a race assembly. In an exemplary assembly, an inner race on a shaft has a convex surface and a first elliptical roller bearing has a concavity intermediate its ends having a radius equal to the radius of the curvature of the race for rolling contact therewith. The concavity of the first elliptical bearing has rolling contact with the convex or profile surface of a second elliptical roller bearing operating on an axis parallel with the axis of the first roller bearing but spaced outwardly therefrom. The assembly also includes a third elliptical roller bearing which operates on an axis parallel with the others and which has a peripheral concavity intermediate its ends. This latter concavity has a radius equal to the profile radius of the second roller bearing and is engaged by such convex surface. The convex or profile surface of the third roller bearing is in rolling contact with the concave surface of an outer race.
