Abstract:
Disclosed is a crane, in particular for offshore application. The crane includes a bearing the assembly between a pedestal and a carrier frame. The bearings are distributed over the height of the support structure and include upper bearing, which include a radial contact rolling bearing including rolling elements and a smooth cylindrical raceway, coaxial to the axis of rotation. The radial contact rolling bearing allows a longitudinal translational degree of freedom of the rolling elements over the height of the cylindrical raceway.
Abstract:
In a bearing mounting arrangement for a drive train of a motor vehicle including a shaft having a drive part non-rotatably connected to the shaft and at least an outer bearing ring and an inner bearing ring which can be biased by means of a bracing device in axial direction of the shaft toward the outer bearing ring due to a relative rotation of the drive part with respect to the bearing ring with a bearing tensioning force which depends on a torque transmitted by the shaft so that the bearing tensioning force is relatively low during low-torque operation of the drive train.
Abstract:
A bearing assembly includes a first bearing comprising a first inner ring and a second bearing comprising a second inner ring. A sleeve-shaped spacer is disposed between and axially separates the first and second inner rings. An adhesive connects the spacer to the first and second inner rings.
Abstract:
In a frictional transmission having at least one rolling contact element, which is guided in frictional engagement between two running surfaces and is furthermore guided by a cage, one of the running surfaces is arranged in a fixed location and the second running surface and the cage are embodied so as to rotate in such a way that an input torque can be introduced via one of the elements, namely the cage or the second running surface, and an output torque can be output via the other element, namely the second running surface or the cage.
Abstract:
An inner race of a first rolling bearing is fixed to a shaft, and an outer race thereof is fixed to an inner race of a second rolling bearing. In the first bearing, the outer race and a rolling element contact each other on the side of a center of the rolling element closer to one end side in an axial direction, and the inner race and the rolling element contact each other on the side of the center of the rolling element closer to the other end side in the axial direction. In the second bearing, an outer race and a rolling element contact each other on the side of a center of the rolling element closer to the one end side, and the inner race and the rolling element contact each other on the side of the center of the rolling element closer to the other end side.

Abstract:
A multiple-row ball bearing arrangement, which has at least one inner bearing ring and at least one outer bearing ring which are coaxially disposed on a longitudinal axis. The multiple-row ball bearing arrangement also has a plurality of balls disposed between the inner and the outer bearing rings in at least one first ball row and a second ball row adjacent to the first ball row, and a first cage for guiding the balls of the first ball row and a second cage for guiding the balls of the second ball row. The first and the second cage each have a first and a second cage side ring. The first cage side ring of the first cage and the second cage side ring of the second cage are adjacent to each other and, at least in some sections, are arranged so as to overlap along the longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A thermal compensation element which has an inner ring, an outer ring, and a washer. The washer is arranged within the inner ring and the outer ring is mounted over the inner ring, encapsulating the washer, which can be a split wave spring. The inner ring and the outer ring each have retention features to ensure they are retained relative to each other. The thermal compensation, which is positioned between a housing or a shaft, can account for variations in loading and/or temperature that may occur to a bearing and a shaft system when the shaft and an associated component are made of different materials and have different coefficients of thermal expansion by ensuring a proper axial preload is maintained on the bearing.
Abstract:
A vehicle wheel bearing apparatus with a back-to-back double row tapered roller bearing has an outer member integrally with a body mounting flange and double row outer raceway surfaces tapered open respectively axially inward and outward. An inner member include a wheel hub and an inner ring or an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint. The wheel hub has a wheel mounting flange and one inner raceway surface arranged oppositely to one of the double row outer raceway surfaces and a cylindrical portion. The inner ring or the outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint are press fit onto the cylindrical portion and include the other inner raceway surface arranged opposite to the other raceway surface of the double row outer raceway surfaces. Double row tapered rollers are freely rollably held between the outer and inner raceway surfaces by cages. Seals are arranged in annular openings formed by the outer and inner members. The cages are formed of synthetic resin. Posts between pockets of the cages are arranged to be positioned radially inward of the pitch circle diameter of the tapered rollers. The width of an opening radially inward of each pocket is set so that each tapered roller is held within the pocket. The contacting tapered surfaces of the posts open radially outward so that the rollers do not fall out radially inward.
Abstract:
A bearing assembly is for a washing machine, the washing machine including a tub and a drum rotatable about a central axis. The bearing assembly comprises two bearings spaced axially apart along the central axis, a spacer disposed generally between the two bearings, and a polymeric housing. The housing includes a box-type frame molded to the bearings and to the spacer and configured to provide stiffness to the bearing assembly.
