摘要： A simple direct acting mechanism moves a circular rotatable disc cutter or two such cutters first to rollably engage a hard surface and then to traverse the surface to part the stock between a side-by-side pair of cords or wires. The cutter or cutters are blunt edged, as well as unheated and so avoid baring the cords or wires while parting the stock without the undesired effect of sharp or hot knives. The cutter or cutters are shiftable along the axis or axes to accommodate deviation of the cords with respect to the travel of the cutter. The foregoing abstract is not to be taken as limiting the invention of this application, and in order to understand the full nature and extent of the technical disclosure of this application, reference must be made to the accompanying drawing and the following detailed description.

摘要： A device for longitudinal cutting of a thermo-softening material into strips, such as strips of a separating material for battery electrodes comprising a roll holder, two pulling rollers having their rotation drive installed parallel and near to said roll holder, and said rollers moving the band in the course of cutting and delivering the cut strips onto the receiving shafts of a wind-up mechanism. A common shaft parallel to the pulling rollers is located under a cutting mechanism and carries electric cutters secured on arms; the hubs of said arms are fastened with the aid of intermediate sleeves on said common shaft. Both the hub and the intermediate sleeve are provided with segment teeth which interact with each other during the turning of the common shaft thereby lifting automatically the electric cutters.

摘要： The splitting or cutting of rubberized fabric material while it is being conveyed wherein a cutter is journaled on a support for rotation about its axis, and having a portion thereof in cutting engagement with an anvil that is mounted on the carriage for reciprocal movement relative to such cutter to provide for a shearing action. Such anvil supports the material during and after cutting. Such cutter has a plurality of circumferentially spaced linear cutting edges or cutters. A spring on the shaft biases the cutters into shearing engagement with such anvil so that as the fabric material is moved or conveyed past the cutter and anvil, it cuts the material into predetermined widths by a shearing action.

摘要： Shearing apparatus comprises a vertically movable shear assembly for releasably clamping the strip material during shearing, and a transversely movable shear assembly which cooperates with the vertically movable shear assembly to shear the strip material during traversal across the strip. A cam roll track may be provided for supporting one end of the mounting shaft for the transversely movable shear assembly during traversal across the strip material to take the load off the shaft, and electromagnets may also be provided to resist bowing of the rectangular shear blade for the vertically movable shear assembly resulting from separation forces created during shearing without having to provide a large superstructure therefor. The support for the transversely movable shear assembly may be mounted for pivotal movement to permit adjustment of the vertical clearance or overlap between both shear blades, and provision may also be made for adjusting the axial or lateral clearance between such shear blades.
