A method includes receiving at an earpiece a request for a vehicle from a user, verifying identity of the user by the earpiece, and communicating the request to a vehicle or vehicle operator.

Abstract: An adjustable bending force assembly is described for use with components that are securable to objects via applied bending force. In implementations, the adjustable bending force assembly is formed as part of a band that exerts bending force upon objects inserted within the band (e.g., between the ends of the band). The adjustable bending force assembly includes one or more stiffener elements that are adjustably positionable at multiple different positions along a length of the band to vary the amount of bending force. In one approach, the stiffener elements are configured as plates that slide into different positions to adjust the bending force. The adjustable bending force assembly may be included as an integrated component of a wearable device, such as a watch or headband. Alternatively, a band can be configured as a separate component to which a device can readily be attached and detached through manual force.

Abstract: A monitoring and hearing aid headphone intercom system is revealed. The system includes one primary headphone, at least one secondary headphone and a terminal device. The primary headphone is disposed with a first Bluetooth module, a first ISM (Industrial Scientific Medical) module, a first microphone set, and a first wired connection module. The secondary headphone is arranged with a second Bluetooth module, a second ISM (Industrial Scientific Medical) module, and a second microphone set. The secondary headphone is connected to the primary headphone by the second ISM module while the terminal device is connected to either the primary headphone or the secondary headphone by a third Bluetooth module or an input cable. Thereby audio signals the primary headphone received are shared with the secondary headphone. Users of the primary headphone and the secondary headphone can interact with each other.

Abstract: A pair of earphones have microphone arrays each providing a plurality of microphone signals. A processor receives the microphone signals and applies a first set of filters to a subset of the plurality of microphone signals from each of the arrays, the first set of filters inverting the signals below a cutoff frequency, and provides the first-filtered signals and the remainder of the microphone signals from each of the arrays to a second set of filters. The processor uses the second set of filters to combine the signals to generate a far-field signal that is more sensitive to sounds originating a short distance away from the earphones than to sounds close to the earphones above the cutoff frequency, and omnidirectional below the cutoff frequency, determines a level of wind noise present in the microphone signals, and adjusts the cutoff frequency as a function of the determined level of wind noise.

Abstract: A system and method provides real-time coaching and adjustment to training. A wearable device may be configured for over-the-ear wear, which includes a speaker, a transceiver, and sensors to measure biometric activity in the user while worn during athletic performance training. The system uses a method which compares past performance to current performance and training goals to adjust a training plan during performance for maximizing training results. The system analyzes current and past performance and generates new training performance output goals in real-time based on the user's current performance. The system then transmits coaching output during a live training session instructing the user on how to adjust their performance output during a current training session. Some embodiments include connecting to smart gym apparatus which connect to the system and automatically increase/decrease resistance/speed depending on the system determining a need to change performance output for maximum gains.
