Abstract:
Provided herein are systems and computer readable media for associating environmental measurements with an individual using a plurality of sensors, a plurality of tags and a plurality of receivers disposed about a monitored area. Various embodiments of the invention include: receiving blink data from receivers positioned about the monitored area, wherein the blink data is generated by at least one tag carried by the individual; determining tag location data based on the blink data, wherein the tag location data comprises a tag location estimate; associating the tag location data with an individual profile; receiving a sensor signal from a sensor comprising environmental measurements associated with the individual; receiving a sensor location associated with the sensor; comparing the tag location estimate to the sensor location; determining a sensor-individual correlator based on the proximity between the tag location estimate and the sensor location; and associating the sensor-individual correlator with the environmental measurements.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are disclosed for providing analytics including participant statistical data or game status data. In one embodiment, a method is provided for transmitting participant data relating to one or more participants that are available in a fantasy game, the fantasy game is at least partially related to a players performance in a sporting event; receiving a selected participant data indication from at least one user, the selected participant data indication provides selection of at least one participant from the participant data; generating a participant data update for one or more participants based on the selected participant data indication; the participant data is defined by a time period comprising an event and is calculated based on blink data transmitted from a location tag mounted to the participant; and transmitting the participant data update, the participant data update is viewable via a user interface.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an individually-customized online learning system which, when respective learners make online connections using terminals belonging to the learners, automatically discloses learning problems on the terminals of respective learners, which instructs the learners to solve the learning problems using the terminals, which receives the learner's answers through the terminals and evaluates the students' grades, which additionally provides information regarding time taken to solve each problem, information regarding answers to respective problems, and information regarding solving of respective problems, and which can automatically adjust the difficulty level of the automatically disclosed problems using information regarding time taken to solve each problem and to submit the answer and information regarding erroneous answers to corresponding problems, thereby disclosing problems according to the learning level of learners.
Abstract:
A computer-aided learning method and apparatus to learn materials. In one embodiment, the apparatus retrieves a user identifier entered by the user, and determines whether the user is a learning user or an institute user. If the user is a learning user, the apparatus allows the user to access information regarding learning materials, which could be a project for the user. Not only does the apparatus provide the user the freedom as to where and when to learn, and the guidance as to what to learn, the user does not have to pay. If the user is an institute user, the apparatus permits the user to learn materials regarding at least one learning user. The institute user might be interested to use the apparatus to recruit employees to fill job openings. The apparatus can also track and update information regarding the users.
Abstract:
A digital plaque media panel that displays a certificate, the educational institution associated with the certificate currently displayed on the digital plaque media panel is an alma mater associated with the individual user. The digital plan media panel receives and displays alma mater related news and information, periodically or as needed, to the individual user based on a configuration. An alumni updates and advertisement infrastructure provides alma mater related news and information.
Abstract:
A technology is provided. The technology enables availing a plurality of educational standards to a plurality of students. The standards are for a plurality of lessons to be at least partially taught via a plurality of teachers to the students. The technology further enables receiving a plurality of ratings from the students. The ratings rating the teachers based at least in part on the students perceptions of the teachers at least partially teaching the lessons according to the standards. The technology also enables extracting a meaning from the ratings.
Abstract:
Methods, Apparatuses, and Storage Medium associated with chronology based file management are disclosed herein. In embodiments, a method may include receiving a selection of a plurality of files or the plurality of files, and generating association data selectively associating the plurality of files with a plurality of events scheduled in a calendar of a user or time periods of the user. The method may further include storing the association data to facilitate subsequent selectively retrieval of the plurality of files in response to retrieval requests for files associated with selected ones of the plurality of events scheduled in the calendar of the user or the time periods of the user. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Abstract:
A method for delivering distance education for real clients, each either a teacher client or a student client, at multiple teaching sites and a system using the method are provided. A multi-layer arrangement is used to arrange computing servers to be one first-level server and one or more second-level servers each communicable with the first-level server. Each server serves real clients located in a pre-determined site. Furthermore, each server sets up a virtual client to execute the teacher client's activity command so as to locally generate application-specific data, which are then stored in this server. When a communication link to a student client is re-established after an activity interruption, resynchronization of the student client's learning-activity state with the teacher client's is regained based on the locally-generated application-specific data stored in the server that serves the student client without a need to burden other servers.
Abstract:
A dual education student apprentice program that provides students with job skills and the necessary incentive to enter the work force by training the students in the occupational field of their choice while concurrently providing the students with a standard educational program is provided herein. The student apprentice program provides students with the opportunity to receive on-the-job training in the field of their choice while attending a standard educational program such as high school or a similar curriculum. Apprentices completing the program are immediately ready to accept jobs and enter into the local workforce. The student apprentice program benefits local communities by providing competent and qualified employees for local businesses.
Abstract:
Method and system for incentivizing student achievement and teacher performance by maintaining a database of students and their attributes, providing teachers access to update the attributes, and permitting businesses to offer attribute-related incentives to the students and teachers, but only when the student qualifies for the incentive based on their attributes or the teacher qualifies for the incentive based on the attributes of their students. Each student interacts with an incentive database to obtain a list of the available incentives. Each business interacts with the database and upon providing an identification of a student seeking an incentive, receives an indication of whether the student qualifies for an offered incentive. If so, the student is able to use the incentive.
