Abstract: The present invention comprises a pulley, a shaft body which is rotatable relative to the pulley and is concentrically disposed radially inside of the pulley, a one-way clutch which is interposed at an annular space between the pulley and the shaft body, a rolling bearing which is disposed in the annular space adjacent to the one-way clutch in an axial direction, an inner annular seal which is provided outside the rolling bearing in the annular space, and an outer annular seal which is provided outside the inner annular seal and has a proximal end portion and a distal end side lip. The proximal end portion of the outer annular seal is fixed to one of an inner peripheral surface of the pulley and an outer peripheral surface of the shaft body, and the distal end side lip of the outer annular seal contacts the other peripheral surface.

Abstract: In a one-way clutch integrated with a rolling bearing, rolling elements and sprags are arranged in an annular space between an inner race and an outer race in each of which a one-way clutch raceway surface is formed in one axial side of a rolling bearing raceway surface. The rolling elements and the sprags make contact with respective raceway surfaces and are respectively housed in circumferentially spaced pockets formed in a common cage configured by mutually engaging and integrating two annular members in an axial direction. The one-way clutch includes urging means for urging the sprags in a locking direction in the pockets. An annular flat plate portion which seals one axial end portion of the annular space between the inner race and the outer race is integrally formed in one of the two annular members constituting the cage. Respective at least one radial and axial through holes are formed in the annular member.

Abstract: In a friction brake arrangement with emergency braking functions for use with a carriage supported on a guide track, with a friction clamping structure including a friction shoe supported in a housing so as to be disposed adjacent the guide track, a spring element is provided biasing the friction shoe toward the guide track for frictional engagement therewith and also a power operated drive for disengaging the friction shoe from the guide track against the force of the spring element and, furthermore, a blocking member is disposed between the drive means and the spring element and held electromagnetically in the blocking position so that the spring is released and the carriage is locked to the guide track for example upon occurrence of a power outage.

Abstract: Thrust bearings need to be under axial load to prevent skidding of the balls in the races. In a gas turbine engine, the thrust bearings between relatively rotatable shafts can experience zero load as engine conditions vary. A permanent load is therefore applied by causing an extension 38 of cage 22 to run in an oil reservoir 30. The resultant drag applies a torque to the cage and affects its speed of rotation relative to that of the shafts 10 and 14.

Abstract: To provide a cam clutch unit that is easy to handle before assembly, with its components prevented from lifting or detachment, and that allows production with fewer machining steps and a lower level of difficulty, while also enabling unit thickness reduction. The cams have an engagement step adapted to engage with the spring on one axial end face. The cage ring has a plurality of hook portions that restrict an axial movement of the annular spring. The hook portions have a pressing part that allows the spring to press the cams towards the other axial end.
