    摘要: The current invention relates to an apparatus for cooling and/or heating a motor vehicle, with at least one coolant pump for circulating a coolant in a cooling and heating system, with a main cooler segment, which has a main cooler inlet and a main cooler outlet, wherein the main cooler inlet is at least intermittently connected to at least one coolant outlet of an engine to be cooled, in particular an internal combustion engine, of the vehicle, and its main cooler outlet is connected to at least one coolant inlet of the engine, and with at least one other, secondary cooler segment provided in addition to the main cooler segment and at least one other unit to be cooled, which is connected to the cooling and heating system, and the apparatus have at least one bypass line with a bypass valve, which is associated with the at least one secondary cooler segment and is disposed parallel to this secondary cooler segment in the cooling and heating system of the motor vehicle.

    摘要: In a cooling mechanism for an engine electronic control module, a base plate of the engine electronic control module is attached to an intake pipe, and includes air rectifier fins. The air rectifier fins have an air rectification function for concentrating suction-air streams at a position while rectifying the suction-air streams, and a cooling function for cooling the engine electronic control module. Suction air flows into an intake duct, in which an air flow meter is provided, through the air rectifier fins. Therefore, eddies of air can be restricted from being generated at an upstream side of the air flow meter, thereby obtaining stable air-flow signals from the air flow meter.

    摘要: This invention relates to a hybrid electric vehicle component coolant control system and method. The coolant system has an electric pump to move coolant through a closed system including engine and motor components. Such components to be cooled can include any electric motors, power electronics, engine, and transmission. The preferred embodiment controls coolant flow to the vehicle engine and motor in a single closed loop. Vehicle components have temperature sensors that send temperature signals to an electric coolant pump duty cycle control strategy. The control strategy makes a determination of a duty cycle of the electric coolant pump as a function of the temperatures of vehicle components and orders the duty cycle of the electric pump. In the preferred configuration, engine temperature sensors can acquire either engine coolant temperature or engine cylinder head temperature. The preferred configuration includes a heater core in the coolant flow path connected between vehicle components and the electric coolant pump return, whereby passenger heating requests are facilitated. Several coolant flow paths among the vehicle components are possible including a parallel and series configuration. The control system can also use a rolling average filter routine connected between the temperature sensor for the motor and the control strategy to determine the average temperature of the motor.
