Abstract: An apparatus for a bicycle includes an intermediate power connector configured for transmitting power between a bicycle component and a power source positioned remote from the bicycle component. The intermediate power connector has a coupling portion configured for removable attachment to a connecting portion of the bicycle component. The bicycle component can also include a battery having a battery coupling portion configured for removable attachment to the connecting portion of the bicycle component. The battery and the intermediate power connector can be selectively attachable to the bicycle component to provide power thereto.

Abstract: A solar wireless collector beacon (data hub) and associated method stores source data, received wirelessly from a data source, in a data buffer of the data hub. Sensor data is read from one or more onboard sensors of the data hub and stored as structural and/or environmental data in the data buffer. The environmental data is processed to determine an operating status of a vehicle being used with the data hub and an energy harvester of the vehicle is controlled to harvest energy from the vehicle based on the operating status. One or more of the operating status, the source data, and the environmental data is wirelessly transmitted from the data hub to an external device.

Abstract: Motor control systems and methods for micromobility transit vehicles are provided. A micromobility transit vehicle may include an electric motor configured to drive a rotation of a wheel. The electric motor may include a plurality of windings and a plurality of switching circuits. The switching circuits may be configured to selectively direct current from a power supply through the windings to generate a torque by the electric motor to drive the rotation of the wheel in response to associated control signals. The switching circuits may be configured to passively bypass the windings in response to an interruption of the control signals. Depletion of the power supply may result in the interruption of the control signals.

Abstract: A component for a human-powered vehicle basically comprises a power source connecting portion, an actuator and a first electronic controller circuitry. The power source connecting portion is connected to a power source. The power source connecting portion includes an attachment surface, a first terminal and a first detection terminal. The actuator is electrically connected to the power source connecting portion. The first electronic controller circuitry controls the actuator with supply current provided from the power source. The first terminal is electrically connected to a power supply terminal of the power source. The first terminal supplies the supply current to the actuator in a state where the first detection terminal is electrically connected to a second detection terminal of the power source. The first detection terminal contacts to the second detection terminal after the first terminal contacts to the power supply terminal during connecting operation of the power source to the power source connecting portion.
