    摘要: An inner cam has a substantially C-shaped cross section, an arcuately shaped inner circumferential surface of which is ground with high precision by such a honing method. The inner circumferential surface has a discontinuous portion. The honing method includes a fixing step and a grinding step. A plurality of inner cams, in which openings are provided between both ends thereof in the circumferential direction, are stacked, and the arcuately shaped inner circumferential surfaces thereof are subjected to grinding. In the fixing step, the relative positions of the plurality of inner cams are fixed such that a resultant force against the inner cams arranged on both end sides in the stacking direction, and a resultant force against the inner cams arranged on a central side in the stacking direction are opposed to each other mutually at a center location of the stacking direction.

    摘要: A tool spindle for a honing machine includes a bowl-shaped holder having a circumferential peripheral wall connected to a bottom part. The bowl-shaped holder is configured to hold a honing ring on an inside of the bowl-shaped holder. At least one expansion element is formed on the inside of the bowl-shaped holder along an inner surface of the circumferential peripheral wall. The at least one expansion element radially clamps and centers the honing ring inside the bowl-shaped holder. A hydraulic chamber is disposed in the bottom part of the bowl-shaped holder. At least one hydraulic line is connecting in fluid communication the at least one expansion element and the hydraulic chamber. A single adjustment element is movable in relation to the bottom part of the bowl-shaped holder, where the single adjustment element is in fluid communication with the hydraulic chamber.

    摘要: A tool is disclosed for selective honing of the outer diameter of a cylinder using an abrasive belt in semi- circular contact upon the outer-diameter of a cylindrical work-piece to perform a similar function to honing the inner-diameter of a hollow cylinder. The belt is retained within the tool body by U-shaped restraint arms, and a slot in the tool body. A clamp block retains the ends of the belt which exit the slot. Springs on the arms, and contact of the block on the outside of the tool body, force the belt into a triangular shape inside the body. A cylindrical work-piece inserted within the triangular shaped belt causes the belt to deform into three semi-circular areas of contact between the belt and work-piece. When the work-piece is rotated, the belt abrades material from the work-piece.

    摘要: A honing machine includes a machine housing enclosing a workpiece spindle and a tool spindle. The workpiece spindle includes a spindle collar with a spindle head configured to hold a workpiece. The tool spindle includes a cup-shaped holder with a honing ring located on an inside of the cup shaped holder. An operating tank is also located within the machine housing, where the operating tank surrounds the tool spindle in an oil-tight manner. The operating tank includes a panel with a recess, where the workpiece spindle is configured to insert the spindle head through the recess and form a first oil-tight seal between the recess and the spindle collar. The panel is moveable relative to the operating tank and tool spindle when the panel is carried along by the workpiece spindle during a feed motion. A second oil-tight seal is formed between the panel and the operating tank.

    摘要: The invention relates to a device for the finishing treatment of shaft workpieces, in particular crankshafts and camshafts. The device comprises a carrier, at least one jaw for exerting contact pressure on the workpiece, and a linear guide for guiding the jaw. The linear guide is supported by a transverse guide to form a cross guiding system which follows the rotational motion of the workpiece by revolving around its axis of rotation. The transverse guide contains a main carriage guided on the carrier. The main carriage is radially aligned with respect to the axis of rotation of the workpiece. The main carriage has a fork-shaped head facing towards the side of the workpiece. A guide rail for the linear guide is chucked between the between the legs of the fork-like head.

Also disclosed is a taper-correcting shoe assembly for a microfinishing machine including a mounting structure adapted for mounting to an arm of a microfinishing machine, a first shoe movably mounted to the mounting structure for applying variable grinding pressure to a first portion of a surface of a workpiece, a second shoe mounted to the mounting structure adjacent the first shoe for applying grinding pressure to a second portion of the surface of the workpiece, and manual extension means, responsive to manual movement, for extending the first shoe outward from the mounting structure in order to correct any taper of the surface of the workpiece.
