摘要: Systems and methods are provided for providing a standardized pressure value representing a transient pressure event within a region of interest within a living body. An air-charged catheter is configured to record pressure data representing the region of interest. A measurement assembly includes a parameter calculation component configured to calculate at least a peak pressure representing the transient pressure event and a time to peak pressure, representing the time necessary to reach the peak pressure, from the recorded pressure data. A standardization component is configured to calculate the standardized pressure value as a function of the peak pressure and the time to peak pressure. A user interface is configured to display at least the standardized pressure value at an associated display.

摘要: This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for detecting, monitoring, and responding to abnormalities in an infant's heartbeat. One or more sensing devices may collect infant heartbeat related data, which may be filtered and converted to a frequency signal. The frequency signal may be monitored for irregularity or stoppage, and a processing module may determine whether the irregularity or stoppage is caused by an actual stoppage or irregularity in infant heartbeat. If infant heartbeat is determined to have stopped, a corrective action may be performed.

摘要: A method of detecting a cough in an audio stream includes a step of performing one or more pre-processing steps on the audio stream to generate an input audio sequence comprising a plurality of time-separated audio segments. An embedding is generated by a self-supervised triplet loss embedding model for each of the segments of the input audio sequence using an audio feature set, the embedding model having been trained to learn the audio feature set in a self-supervised triplet loss manner from a plurality of speech audio clips from a speech dataset. The embedding for each of the segments is provided to a model performing cough detection inference. This model generates a probability that each of the segments of the input audio sequence includes a cough episode. The method includes generating cough metrics for each of the cough episodes detected in the input audio sequence.

摘要: A method of automatically diagnosing pneumonia in a patient includes using an input/output interface device to obtain values of two or more diagnostic parameters of the patient from a caregiver for the patient. The method includes using a processor coupled to the input/output interface to apply the two or more diagnostic parameters to an electronic memory storing precompiled pneumonia diagnostic models to identify an optimal diagnostic model for making a diagnosis. The values of the two or more diagnostic signs are applied to the identified optimal diagnostic model to generate a diagnosis output. The input/output interface device is operated in accordance with the diagnosis output to indicate the presence or absence of pneumonia in the patient to the caregiver. The caregiver may use the diagnosis to provide appropriate care to the patient. The pneumonia diagnostic models are derived from investigation of a population of pneumonia positive and non-pneumonia subjects.

摘要: Apparatus and methods are described including identifying that a subject suffers from sleep apnea. Positive airway pressure (PAP) is applied to the subject via a mask placed on a face of the subject. A respiratory-related parameter of the subject is sensed, while the mask is on the face of the subject, and a need of the subject for respiratory support is assessed, responsively to the respiratory-related parameter. In accordance with the assessed need, the mask is configured to regulate the PAP provided to the subject's face. Other applications are also described.

摘要: It is described a system and a method for respiratory activity analysis comprising the use of Respiratory Inductance Plethysmography (RIP). In particular, a wearable system for extracting physiological parameters of a person by measuring at least one plethysmographic signal is disclosed. The system comprises: a wearable garment fitting a body part of the person; at least one wire supported by or embedded into the garment, each wire forming a loop around the body part when the person wears the garment for measuring a plethysmographic signal; and an electronic device supported by or fixed on the garment and including a Colpitts oscillator connected to each wire loop, wherein the Colpitts oscillator has an optimal frequency band from 1 MHz to 15 MHz for extracting the plethysmographic signal measured by each wire, the electronic device converting analog information measured by the Colpitts oscillator into digital analyzable information.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided that determine whether a patient is breathing irregularly. A system may receive a physiological signal, such as a plethysmographic signal or an end-tidal carbon dioxide signal, from a sensor. The system may analyze the signal for one or more features indicative of irregular breathing, which may be a result of a patient talking, moving, yawning, coughing, sneezing, or the like. The system may also be configured to provide an indication of the irregular breathing.

摘要: The present system (10) comprises a subject interface (22), a segmenter (12), a loosener (14), sensors (18), and computer processors (28). The segmenter is configured to selectively control gas flow through the subject interface to provide high amplitude pressure oscillations (44) during exhalation such that the high amplitude pressure oscillations aid cough productivity in the subject. The loosener controls gas flow through the subject interface to provide low amplitude pressure oscillations (43, 63) during inhalation (48, 68) and exhalation (49) such that the low amplitude pressure oscillations loosen respiratory secretions. The computer processors detect trigger events based on the output signals such that the one or more trigger events include a loosening trigger event and a segmenting trigger event (66); and responsive to detecting the loosening trigger event, control the loosener to provide the low amplitude pressure oscillations, and, responsive to detecting the segmenting trigger event, control the segmenter to provide the high amplitude pressure oscillations.
