Abstract: New radio (NR) power headroom report (PHR) design for millimeter wave (mmWave) deployment is discussed. The power control process for mmWave may include beam-specific periodic PHR reporting and user equipment (UE)-specific event-trigger PHR reporting. The periodic PHR reporting may either provide a single PHR that includes power headroom information for each of the serving beams, or the UE may be configured to measure and report PHR for different beams in different slots. When reporting a single PHR with power headroom information for multiple serving beams, a beam index may be included in the reserved bits of the PHR. For the event-trigger PHR, the PHR reported based on a detected event trigger may provide power headroom information only for the current serving beam, or for all serving beams.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing periodic CSI reports and/or aperiodic CSI reports to provide CSI for both anchor and non-anchor TDD subframes in eIMTA. Periodic CSI reports may be provided based on a reference configuration, and aperiodic CSI reports may be provided based on a time of reception of a CSI request and a reference configuration. A UE may determine to report anchor or non-anchor CSI through explicit or implicit signaling. Aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports, or aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports. A determination of the reference subframe for aperiodic CSI estimation may be based on a time of receipt of an aperiodic CSI request.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station (BS), a paging communication while the UE is in an inactive mode or an idle mode. The UE may transmit, to the BS and based at least in part on receiving the paging communication, a first communication as part of a random access channel (RACH) procedure. The UE may receive, from the BS and based at least in part on transmitting the first communication, a second communication that includes mobile-terminated downlink data, an indication of an uplink resource, and a radio resource control (RRC) release message. The RRC release message may cause the UE to remain in the inactive mode or the idle mode while receiving the mobile-terminated downlink data. The UE may transmit mobile-originated uplink data using the uplink resource. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive bandwidth part configuration information configuring a dormancy profile for a first bandwidth part of a plurality of bandwidth parts; communicate, on a second bandwidth part, a plurality of types of signaling; and communicate, on the first bandwidth part, a subset of the plurality of types of signaling, such that at least one type of signaling, of the plurality of types of signaling, is suppressed in accordance with the dormancy profile. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe managing beams in wireless communications. A beam management event configuration indicating a type of at least one beam to measure in determining occurrence of a trigger condition for a beam management event can be received. A parameter of a signal received from one or more nodes can be measured, where the signal corresponds to the type of the at least one beam. The occurrence of the trigger condition for the beam management event can be determined based on the parameter of the signal. An indication of the occurrence of the trigger condition can be reported to the one or more nodes or a different node.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a floating synchronization signal block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) for SSB-based radio resource management (RRM) in asynchronous networks, such as new radio (NR). A base station (BS) determines a floating SMTC for measurement of a target cell and provides the floating SMTC to at least one user equipment (UE) in the serving cell, wherein the target cell and the serving cell are asynchronous. The BS determines a measurement gap that covers the floating SMTC. The UE monitors in the measurement gap for a SSB transmission of the target cell based on the floating SMTC.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a relay user equipment (UE) may establish a sidelink unicast link with a remote UE via a sidelink signaling interface. The relay UE may identify configuration information for an adaptation layer of the sidelink signaling interface, the configuration information including at least one of: a remote UE identifier associated with the sidelink unicast link for a relay service, bearer identifier information identifying one or more bearers between the remote UE and a network entity for the relay service, a radio link control (RLC) channel mapping between a bearer identifier and one or more RLC channels, or data routing information associated with the relay service. The relay UE may relay communications between the remote UE and the network entity based at least in part on the configuration information. Numerous other aspects are described.
