Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for wireless communication that can be used to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of data transmissions by increasing the degree of randomness with which data is scrambled for transmission over a wireless medium. In some implementations, a transmitting device may determine a scrambler seed value that includes at least 11 bits, where at least one of the 7 least significant bits (LSBs) of the scrambler seed value has a non-zero value. The transmitting device may generate a scrambling sequence based on the scrambler seed value and a polynomial, may construct a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) that includes a multi-user (MU) request-to-send (RTS) frame and the scrambler seed value, may scramble one or more portions of the PPDU based on the scrambling sequence; and may transmit the PPDU over a wireless medium.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for a wireless communication device to perform signal phase rotation. In some implementations, the wireless communication device may determine a number of phase rotation parameters to be applied to a number of tones of a transmission signal. In some aspects, each of the phase rotation parameters indicates a phase rotation to be applied to each of the tones according to a carrier index range for each of the tones and a bandwidth mode for the transmission signal. In some implementations, the wireless communication device may apply the phase rotation parameters to respective ones of the tones according to the specified phase rotations and the carrier index ranges, and transmit the transmission signal from the wireless communication device according to the applied phase rotation parameters.
Abstract:
Certain aspects relate to methods and apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus generally includes a processing system configured to generate a first frame including an indication of unused resources in a first basic service set (BSS) available to be shared with one or more wireless nodes in one or more second BSSs. The apparatus also includes a first interface configured to output the first frame for transmission to the one or more wireless nodes.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for concurrently transmitting beamformed data from each of a plurality of access points (APs) to a wireless station (STA). In some implementations, the plurality of APs may operate as a distributed antenna array, and carrier signals of the plurality of APs may be synchronized with each other. A beamforming steering matrix may be determined for each of the plurality of APs, and beamformed data may be concurrently transmitted from each of the plurality of APs to the STA based on corresponding ones of the plurality of beamforming steering matrices.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for interleaving in single user (SU) preamble puncturing in wireless local area networks (WLANs). In one implementation, a wireless device can identify an SU preamble puncture transmission, encode information for the SU preamble puncture transmission to produce encoded bits, parse the encoded bits into multiple segments, parse the encoded bits among multiple resource units (RUs) within each of the multiple segments, and perform a tone interleaving of the encoded bits within each of the multiple RUs. These techniques can be used in a 6 GHz band, as well as a 2.4 GHz band or a 5 GHz band.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for receiving and detecting short multi-user feedback in null data packets (NDPs). An example method generally includes receiving a first packet from a first wireless device, the first packet transmitted using resources spanning at least 106 tones and allocated to the first wireless device for conveying feedback bits, and detecting the feedback bits based on a difference in receive energy on different sets of tones.
Abstract:
The present application relates to transmitting data according to a frame structure. The described aspects include receiving data for transmission to at least one of an access point or a receiving station. The described aspects further include generating one or more first data packets according to one of a first frame structure including a first portion of one or more symbols associated with a first technology mode of a RAT and a second portion of one or more symbols associated with a second technology mode of the RAT or a second frame structure including one or more symbols associated with the second technology mode of the RAT. The described aspects further include transmitting the one or more packets.
Abstract:

In one aspect, the apparatus is configured to determine a number of data symbols for transmitting a data payload. The apparatus is configured to determine a number of payload bits for transmitting the data payload based on the determined number of data symbols. The apparatus is configured to transmit a data frame. The data frame includes a signal field and data symbols encoded based on the data payload, the determined number of data symbols, and the determined number of payload bits, in which the data symbols are encoded using LDPC encoding or BCC encoding.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to transmit user data in a first symbol of a first symbol type. The first symbol type has a first symbol duration, a first frequency bandwidth, and a first tone plan. The first tone plan includes a first valid start tone index, a first valid end tone index, and a first set of DC tones. The apparatus is further configured to transmit an LTF in a second symbol of a second symbol type. The second symbol type has a second symbol duration, a second frequency bandwidth, and a second tone plan. The second tone plan includes a second valid start tone index, a second valid end tone index, and a second set of DC tones.
