Abstract:
This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to early indication system. A device may identify a high efficiency frame in accordance with a high efficiency communication standard, received from a first device, the high efficiency frame including, at least in part, one or more legacy signal fields and one or more high efficiency signal fields. The device may determine a length field included in one of the one or more legacy signal fields, wherein the length field includes an indication bit. The device may determine a position of a high efficiency short training field within the high efficiency frame based at least in part on the indication bit.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, computer readable media, and/or apparatus related to encoding wireless communication preamble structures with cyclic redundancy check (CRC) that is performed on both a common part, as well as, station specific parts of a signaling field. The signaling field generated by this mechanism may be relatively shorter, resulting in less preamble overhead, than if a separate CRC was to be provided for each of the station specific parts, as well as the common part of the signaling field. In additional embodiments, tail bits may be provided for a combination of the common part of the signaling field and each station specific part of the signaling field. Compared to providing tail bits separately for the common part and each of the station specific parts, removing the tail bits from the common part may result in relatively less overhead of the preamble structure.
Abstract:
Machine-readable media, methods, apparatus and system for electrical downtilt adjustment in a multiple input multiple output system are disclosed. In some embodiments, an apparatus may comprise an electrical downtilt module to determine an electrical downtilt angle for an antenna port selected from a number of antenna ports based on information from an user equipment (UE); and a codebook module to select a codeword corresponding to the antenna port from a codebook and calculate a weight of an antenna array of the eNB through inputting the electronic downtilt angle into the codeword, wherein the codebook has a first number of codewords, each of the codewords having a second number of elements to represent the weight of the antenna array, and wherein each of the codewords corresponds to each of the antenna ports and each of the elements corresponds to each antenna of the antenna array.
Abstract:
Wireless devices, methods, and computer readable media for a high efficiency (HE) signal-A field are disclosed. An apparatus of a HE wireless local area network (HEW) station is disclosed. The apparatus of the HEW station includes circuitry configured to: generate a HE preamble comprising a legacy signal (L-SIG) field followed by a HE-SIG-A1 field, wherein the HE-SIG-A1 field is encoded individually. The circuitry may be further configured to transmit the HE preamble on at least one from the following group: multiple subcarriers of a sub-channel and multiple sub-channels. The circuitry may be configured to transmit the HE preamble with a cyclic prefix (CP) of the HE-SIG-A field that is longer than 0.8 micro-seconds (μs). The circuitry may be configured to indicate enhanced robustness of the packet in a length field of the L-SIG field, a polarization of a repeated L-SIG, and/or a field of the HE-SIG-A.
Abstract:
Adaptive sensing times for mid-packet detection in wireless transmissions are provided. In some embodiments, the adaptive sensing times are selected according to criteria based, at least in part, on a defined condition associated with strength of wireless signals and/or a satisfactory performance in the determination of presence or absence of wireless signal in a communication channel.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a packet structure for frequency offset estimation and method for UL MU-MIMO communication in high-efficiency Wi-Fi (HEW) are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the packet structure may comprise a short training field (STF), a number of long-training fields (LTFs) following the STF, a signal field (SIGB)to follow the LTFs, and a data field to follow the signal field. The data field may comprise an UL MU-MIMO transmission from a plurality of scheduled stations. The number of LTFs may be equal to or greater than a number of data streams as part of the UL MU-MIMO transmission, and the plurality of scheduled stations may share the number of LTFs by transmitting on different orthogonal tone sets.
