    Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, computer readable media, and/or apparatus related to encoding wireless communication preamble structures with cyclic redundancy check (CRC) that is performed on both a common part, as well as, station specific parts of a signaling field. The signaling field generated by this mechanism may be relatively shorter, resulting in less preamble overhead, than if a separate CRC was to be provided for each of the station specific parts, as well as the common part of the signaling field. In additional embodiments, tail bits may be provided for a combination of the common part of the signaling field and each station specific part of the signaling field. Compared to providing tail bits separately for the common part and each of the station specific parts, removing the tail bits from the tail bits form the common part may result in relatively less overhead of the preamble structure.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media for a wireless communication device for transmitting pilots in a wireless local area network are disclosed. The method on a wireless communication device includes receiving one or more packets in a transmit opportunity (TXOP), wherein the one or more packets indicate a schedule for the wireless communications device to transmit. The method further includes transmitting a first pilot carrier in a lower subcarrier of a frequency allocation, and transmitting a second pilot carrier in a higher subcarrier of the frequency allocation. The first pilot and the second pilot may be transmitted simultaneously or in alternative time periods. The lower subcarrier may be the lower one-third of the frequency allocation, and the higher subcarrier may be the higher one-third of the frequency allocation. The wireless communication device may transmit and receive in accordance with OFDMA and 802.11.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, computer readable media for beamforming smoothing and indication in a wireless network are disclosed. An apparatus of a wireless device comprising processing circuitry is disclosed. The processing circuitry is configured to decode a null data packet (NDP). The processing circuitry is further configured to determine beamforming vectors or matrixes from a channel matrix estimate from the NDP, and smooth the beamforming vectors or matrixes. The processing circuitry is further configured to configure the station to transmit feedback, the feedback including the smooth beamforming vectors or matrixes, and decode a downlink (DL) physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU)(DL PPDU) from the access point where the DL PPDU beamformed based on the smooth beamforming vectors or matrixes.
