摘要: A planetary gear device of vehicular power transmitting system includes a carrier, pinion gears, a sun gear, a ring gear, and a cylindrical output member disposed coaxially with the carrier and having the ring gear on inner surface, and a radially outer output gear on outer surface. The carrier is supported by a stationary support wall non-rotatably. The carrier is fixed to the support wall within a teeth width of the output gear. The carrier has support pins rotatably supporting the pinion gears respectively, a carrier body fitted with one end of each the support pin and fixedly fitted in the support wall non-rotatably, and a carrier cover connected to connecting portions extending from the carrier body and fitted with the other end of each the support pin. The support wall has support arm which abuts with the carrier cover. The carrier cover is fixed to the support arm.

摘要: A vehicle includes an engine, a dry dual-clutch transmission (dDCT) having a pair of input clutches and a gearbox containing oddly- and evenly-numbered gear sets, and a transmission control module (TCM). Application of one of input clutches connects the engine to a corresponding one of the oddly- or evenly-numbered gear sets. The TCM includes feed-forward PID-based control logic, and a torque-to-position (TTP) table for each input clutch. The TCM commands a position of a designated input clutch during a power-on upshift using the feed-forward, PID-based control logic, and selectively adapts the TTP table as a function of an inertia and acceleration value of the engine. The TCM may apply an asymmetrical handoff profile to commanded oncoming and offgoing clutch torques during the torque phase of the upshift. The TCM may also adjust the TTP table as a function of the frequency of use of the input clutches.

摘要: Emergency shifting is performed in a shift-by-wire (SBW) vehicle during a power failure of a main electrical supply that includes a battery. A shift actuator is configured to mechanically couple to the transmission in order to execute shift events between a plurality of shift positions (including park and neutral) using the main voltage from the main supply during normal conditions. A human-powered generator is provided for converting a manually-imparted motion to an electrical output during the power failure. A storage device (e.g., capacitor) receives the electrical output to store a power reserve to apply to the shift actuator to execute an emergency shift event in the absence of main power in response to a manual command. The generator and storage device are configured such that a maximum power reserve stored from the generator can achieve only one emergency shift event at a time.

摘要: A subframe assembly for a vehicle includes a multipart subframe having two spaced-apart longitudinal members and two spaced-apart cross members connecting the longitudinal members. A transfer case is supported on the subframe between the longitudinal and cross members and has an input shaft in driving relation to two output shafts, and a bearing element which extends in axis-parallel relation to the input shaft and which is shifted in a direction of one of the longitudinal members and projects from the transfer case. A first one of the cross members is crossed by a portion of the transfer case at a crossing section and has two shell parts connected to one another at least at one area. Each shell part has a bracket, with the bracket of one shell part and the bracket of the other shell part jointly forming a bearing mount for the bearing element.

A method for controlling the powertrain includes executing a dual closed-loop control scheme that includes determining an engine-based output torque range employed in a first feedback loop and simultaneously determining a control acceleration-based output torque range employed in a second feedback loop. Engine commands are controlled responsive to the engine-based output torque range and simultaneously a control acceleration is controlled responsive to the control acceleration-based output torque range to achieve an output torque of the powertrain system responsive to an output torque request.

摘要: A skid shield for attachment to vehicle side rails for protecting an underbody vehicle component, where the vehicle has a cross member mounted to the side rails with mounting hardware and receiving holes, includes a body and a skid plate. The body extends from the first side rail to the second side rail and around the underbody of the vehicle component. The body has at least one frame member. The at least one skid plate is attached to the frame member. The skid shield also includes first and second attachment brackets that attach the frame member to the side rails. The attachment brackets have receiving holes for receiving a fastener. The receiving holes are configured for alignment with the receiving holes in the side rails. The fastener fastens both the attachment bracket of the skid shield and the mounting hardware of the cross member to the side rails.
