摘要: A method is described for making determinations on or classifying the pain of an estimation subject on the basis of the brainwaves of the estimation subject. This method includes: (a) stimulating the estimation subject at a plurality of levels of stimulation intensity; (b) acquiring brainwave data for the estimation subject; (c) extracting a brainwave feature quantity from the brainwave data or the analysis data; (d) for plugging the feature quantity into a Sparse model analysis, making the feature quantity approach a quantitative level and/or a qualitative level for pain, and estimating or making a determination on a pain level. Another method is described including comparing of brainwave data or analysis data from the 2,000 msec following the earliest of an induced brainwave component, an initial-event-related voltage component, and 250 msec after a target stimulus has been applied.

摘要: This document describes systems, methods, and devices for sensing electrical activity in a brain of a mammal. Some aspects include a cortical electrode assembly configured, in use, to sense electrical activity at a surface of a brain, the assembly comprising: a ring-shaped substrate; and a plurality of electrical sensors affixed to the ring-shaped substrate, wherein the plurality of electrical sensors are spaced along the ring-shaped substrate so as to form a ring of electrical sensors that substantially encircle an aperture formed by the ring-shaped substrate.

摘要: There is provided a method and system for constructing a representation of changes in the state of responsiveness of a mammalian subject's brain to a plurality of repeated external stimuli. The method and system include acquiring a plurality of brain activity measurements of a subject over a plurality of pre-determined time periods. Each of said measurements are of the subject's brain activity preceding and following the presentation of an external stimulus. The method and system further evaluate variability in the acquired brain activity measurements to a plurality of repeated external stimuli by a processor and generate a report of the changes in brain responsiveness states from the variability in said brain activity measurements over the plurality of predetermined time periods.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a medical instrument (100, 300) comprising an activity measurement system (110, 301, 302) configured for measuring brain activity data (136) from a subject (102), a memory (120) storing machine executable instructions (130) and storing a simulation model (132), wherein the simulation model is configured to generating simulation data (134), wherein the simulation model is configured for modifying the simulation data using a model parameter (140), a virtual reality system (106, 106′, 106″, 106′″, 106″″) configured for rendering the simulation data; and a computational system (114) for controlling the medical instrument. Execution of the machine executable instructions causes the computational system to set (200) the model parameter to an initial value (142). Execution of the machine executable instructions further causes the computational system to repeatedly: generate (202) the simulation data using the simulation model; render (204) the simulation data using the virtual reality system; measure (206) the brain activity data using the activity measurement system; calculate (208) a neural activity metric (138) descriptive of neural activity of the subject from the brain activity data; increase (210) the model parameter to adjust the simulation model if the neural activity metric is below a first predetermined value (144); and decrease (212) the model parameter to adjust the simulation model if the neural activity metric is above a second predetermined value (146).

摘要: The present invention relates to attention bias modification treatment. In order to improve the treatment effect, an ABM system is proposed with a neural brain response monitoring device, such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), magnetoencephalography (MEG), and/or electroencephalography (EEG), to provide real-time information regarding neural brain responses in order to personalize and optimize the ABM treatment.

摘要: A device for monitoring brain-object interactions in a community includes a probe module attached to each individual and including a stimulation device, a specific wavelength emitting device, an infrared (IR) receiving device and a recording memory; a central controller to regulate a connection between the probe module and at least one object to control and monitor the probe module or the object; a plurality of IR emitters to transmit a time sync signal and a command to the probe module to monitor the individual; and a plurality of specific wavelength receivers to transmit the electrical signal received by the probe module to the central controller. Accordingly, it is possible to integratedly control the connection between the probe module and the object through the central controller and prevent confusion and loss of data transmission, thereby achieving efficient monitoring of the community.

摘要: Various aspects of this disclosure relate to a prosthetic cover comprising an array of sensors, which transmit signals to an array of electrodes in a liner that fits over a residual limb of an amputee. Different interactions with the prosthetic cover cause different activation of the electrodes to transmit electrical current through different areas of the residual limb and modulate neurons differently within the residual limb.

摘要: A neural stimulus comprises at least three stimulus components, each comprising at least one of a temporal stimulus phase and a spatial stimulus pole. A first stimulus component delivers a first charge which is unequal to a third charge delivered by a third stimulus component, and the first charge and third charge are selected so as to give rise to reduced artefact at recording electrodes. In turn this may be exploited to independently control a correlation delay of a vector detector and an artefact vector to be non-parallel or orthogonal.
