    摘要: A method and a device for converting virtually concatenated data streams into contiguously concatenated data streams, wherein the data is transmitted in containers and N containers are combined to form a multiframe, the virtually concatenated data streams consist of X partial data streams/channels, wherein containers which are allocated in each case to the same point in the multiframe are identified by evaluating a multi frame indicator of the container, the time shift of these identified containers of the partial data streams with respect to each other is measured, and in the event of a shift being present only leading containers are delayed so as to ensure that all containers are aligned with respect to time. Each channel (KA1, KA2, . . . ) is allocated a pointer interpreter (PI1, PI2), followed by a buffer memory (ES1, ES2) and a pointer generator (PG1, PG2), the pointer generators are synchronized with respect to each other, and each pointer generator is arranged for the purpose of controlling the reading out of the buffer memory associated with its channel, and a channel which is selected as the master channel (KA1) is provided with an overhead inserter (OI1).

    摘要: A system for performing pointer processing on large concatenated payloads, in a processing node of an optical communications networks. The system comprises a plurality of processing strips. Delay blocks are introduced between a pair of processing strips on the pointer interpreter and/or pointer generator sides of the processing strips, so that corresponding data is read on one of the pair of processing strips after a predetermined delay from a time moment when the data is read on the other of the pair of processing strips, in order to overcome timing constraints arising from the need to synchronize the processing of a concatenated payload across multiple strips. Inter-chip communication blocks are introduced in order to allow concatenated payloads to be processed on different chips.

    摘要: An apparatus for transmitting a multi-frame in multiplex transmission, includes (a) a first interface through which a plurality of data traffics is input and output, (b) a second interface through which a SONET/SDH frame is received from a SONET/SDH network and through which a SONET/SDH frame produced by multiplexing the data traffics is output to the SONET/SDH network, (c) a mapper which receives the data traffics through the first interface, maps each of the data traffics, in a multi-frame including SONET/SDH frames by the number equal to or greater than the number of the data traffics, to each of the SONET/SDH frames, and transmits the SONET/SDH frames to the second interface, and (d) a demapper which receives a multi-frame which the second interface receives through the SONET/SDH network, extracts each of the data traffics out of each of SONET/SDH frames constituting the multi-frame, and transmits the thus extracted SONET/SDH frames to the first interface.
