    摘要: A pressure sensor includes a surface sheet whose front side is an operating surface and a substrate sheet that includes a plurality of switches and that is disposed below the back side of the surface sheet at a predetermined space therebetween. When the operating surface is depressed, the surface sheet is deformed toward the substrate sheet and a switch of the plurality of switches is turned into an input state, and a resolution of a switch signal from each of the switches varies in accordance with the amount of a pressing force applied on the operating surface. Therefore, an electronic device, such as a cellular phone, installed with the pressure sensor can have various functions realized by a variation in the resolution.

    摘要: A touch control panel for use in controlling an electrical device such as a washer, dryer, stove, microwave or related piece of electrical equipment. In a preferred embodiment, the touch control panel comprises an outer panel formed of flexible aluminum. The outer panel includes an outer and an inner surface. The inner surface of the aluminum panel includes a first circuit formed along at least a portion of the surface. The control panel also includes an inner support panel comprising a porcelain enamel metal substrate. The porcelain enamel metal substrate affords a highly durable and rigid degree of support to the control panel. The support panel has an inner surface which is spaced from and disposed substantially parallel to the inner surface of the outer panel. The inner surface of the metal substrate has formed along at least a portion thereof a second circuit. Upon application of tactile pressure upon the outer surface of the outer panel, the first circuit contacts the second circuit. Upon release of the tactile pressure, the first circuit disengages contact with the circuit.

    摘要: A membrane panel including at least one electrical component. The panel includes a rigid support member having substantially planar top and bottom surfaces. At least one void region, or hole, extends from the bottom surface of that support member. A flexible top member including at least one flexible layer, overlies the support member. A flexible bottom member including at least one flexible layer underlies the support member. The bottom member has its upper surface affixed to the bottom surface of the support member. Further, the bottom member includes an integral flexible tail. The bottom member includes at least one electrical component affixed to its upper surface with that component underlying and extending into an associated one of the void regions of the support member. An electrically conductive pattern is affixed to the upper surface of the bottom member and that pattern is electrically coupled to the component to permit its operation in an electrical network.
