Significantly, the deposition process is compatible for integration with CMOS electronics and thereby can provide monolithically integrated RF MEMS capacitive switches for use with CMOS electronic devices, such as for insertion into phase array antennas for radars and other RF communication systems.

Disclosed is a thin key sheet that is relatively free from breakage due to depressing operation. When key tops are depressed, float-supporting portions of rubber moldings and a film sheet undergo deformation, and a depression load can be borne by both the float-supporting portions and the film sheet, so the load on the float-supporting portions is mitigated, making the float-supporting portions less subject to breakage. Further, since the film sheet exists between the rubber moldings and a resin plate, it is possible to prevent the rubber moldings from being rubbed against a side wall of a frame portion, making it possible to prevent breakage due to rubbing between the rubber moldings and the resin plate.

A surface bonding method for bonding a PET film and silica gel buttons is provided which can shorten the manufacturing period, reduce the required number of fixtures and improve production efficiency. The surface bonding method comprises the following steps: providing a PET film and performing surface treatment on the PET film, coating a layer of UV glue on the PET film, providing a plurality of silica gel buttons, performing surface treatment on the bottom surfaces of the silica gel buttons, placing the silica gel buttons into the bonding fixture, placing and fixing the PET film to the bonding fixture, stitching a transparent plate onto the PET film, and applying the exposure of UV-light on the bonding fixture.

A touch panel has excellent visibility and little waviness on respective elements even if the touch panel is exposed in a severe temperature or moisture environment. The touch panel includes an upper electrode sheet and a lower electrode board having respective transparent electrodes face to each other, and both of the sheet and the board are made of respective materials containing an identical main component to each other. In the touch panel, differences in dimensional changes due to the severe environment are restrained so as to be small. Therefore, waviness on the upper electrode sheet and warp of the lower electrode board scarcely occur, and the touch panel can maintain excellent visibility.

In a resistance film type touch panel (8), an upper electrode sheet (1) having upper electrodes (111) on one face of a flexible transparent film (9) and a hard coat layer (12) on the other face of the film, and a lower electrode sheet (2) having lower electrodes (121) confronting the upper electrodes on one face of a glass substrate (10) are arranged to face each other over a distance maintained by spacers (13) between the upper electrodes and the lower electrodes. Respective peripheries of the upper electrodes and the lower electrodes confronting the upper electrodes are bonded by an adhesive layer (3), with the transparent film and the hard coat layer being fused at respective end parts thereby constituting a compressive stress layer (10a) at a surface layer part of each side end face of the glass substrate.
