The arm rest unit includes a connector portion corresponding to the integrated connector section, a control circuit board connected to the connector portion and to a switch section for the auxiliary components, a circuit provided in the arm rest body and connected to the control circuit board, and an optional switch connected to the circuit. In the optional switches connected to the circuit provided in the arm rest unit, software replacement of the control circuit board can change the functions of the optional switches.

Each dome is disposed adjacent to and is engagable by one of the plurality of keys and a dome contact disposed on each dome. A conductor foil having a plurality of contacts is provided, each conductor foil contact being arranged for contacting one of the dome contacts when one of the keys is moved. A printed circuit board having upper and lower faces is arranged near the contact foil. A spacer member disposed between the upper face of the printed circuit board and the conductor foil defines an electrical component receiving space, and there is a plurality of electrical components located on the upper face in the electrical component receiving space.

Key buttons of the key array are held in modules arranged on a side, facing away from either the base element or a printed circuit board that is provided for delivering signals.     摘要: The present invention provides an improved keyboard for a cellular telephone or the like. The improved keyboard includes an additional shielding layer which is added to the keypad to prevent RF leakage in the direction of the user. The shielding layer includes an insulating layer and a conductive layer. The conductive layer may be added in one of two ways. First, a conductive layer made of nickel foil or other suitable material may be molded directly into the keypad. Second, the conductive layer may be plated or painted on the surface of the keypad. In any such process, a layer of insulating material is added to the bottom surface of the conductive layer to prevent shorts. Finally, doping of the keypad may be used to improve the effectiveness of the shielding by using it with either of the aforementioned methods of implementation.

    摘要: Architecture for a keyboard that supports the n-key rollover feature, while being compatible with well established, high volume, inexpensive manufacturing techniques. The design is a matrix design that uses resistors at each key rather than diodes, and employs novel circuits which allow any combination of simultaneous key presses to be detected using this resistive matrix. The resistors can be screen printed on the flexible sheets in a manner similar to the conductors. A resistive keyboard matrix employs circuit techniques that eliminate phantom key presses. The resistors can be created by screen-printing carbon ink. Additionally, various implementations of the decoder circuits can be employed to provide the n-key rollover feature on flexible sheets for inexpensive production.
