    Abstract: Removable cases for portable electronic devices incorporating memory tags (e.g., NFC memory tags) capable of being read by an electronic reading device are disclosed. The memory tags may be pre-programmed or programmable to contain one or more readable items of identification data associated with the custodian of the device or protective case. The memory tags may also or alternatively include code or executable commands that effectuate certain functionality (e.g., go into silent or airplane mode, call home or a particular person, turn off, check email, set alarm, play music or video, etc.) in another of the user's device. The protective case may protect, shield, and or conceal the tag visually in part or in whole while allowing the tag to be read and the tags position visually identified. Systems and methods to recover lost or misplaced electronic devices using information contained in the memory tag of the protective enclosure are also disclosed.

    Abstract: Portable, modular housing system for mounting and on-the-spot and parallel use of electronic and personal accessories through a connection-support mechanism which consists of two (or more) independent carriers, FIG. 7 (2, 3) which are connected together with a carrier-housing system, FIG. 1, through a connection-support mechanism, FIG. 6, 7a, which includes one or two brackets (18) respectively, the upper ends of which (24) are connected through one or more hinges (25) with the one carrier (2) while their lower ends (19) are connected similarly with the other carrier (3) enabling the independent rotational movement of each carrier (2,3) up to 360° degrees around the real or imaginary part-axis (28a, 23a) of the hinge/s (25, 20) which connects the ends of the bracket/s (18) with each carrier (2, 3).     Abstract: The invention relates to a touch screen protector for a hand held electronic device having a front face that includes a touch screen portion and a non-functional band. The touch screen protector of the invention comprises a plastic film having front and back sides, an outer perimeter that corresponds to that of the device, and a transparent window; a spacer provided along the outer perimeter of the plastic film surrounding the transparent window, having a thickness sufficient to space the plastic film near but not in contact with the touch screen portion; an exposed adhesive for removably mounting the protector upon the outer perimeter of the front face to form an enclosed air space between the transparent window of the plastic film, the spacer and the touch screen portion of the device; and a joining adhesive for adhering the spacer to the back side of the plastic film.
