摘要: To suppress an increase in processing time due to a load of inference processing while improving reading accuracy by the inference processing of machine learning. An optical information reading device includes a processor including: an inference processing part that inputs a code image to a neural network and executes inference processing of generating an ideal image corresponding to the code image; and a decoding processing part that executes first decoding processing of decoding the code image and second decoding processing of decoding the ideal image generated by the inference processing part. The processor executes the inference processing and the first decoding processing in parallel, and executes the second decoding processing after completion of the inference processing.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure relate generally to flicker reduction in a multi-imager environment. Embodiments include methods, computer program products, and apparatuses for producing a near-field illumination using a near-field illuminator, the near-field illumination produced at a defined pulse train. A near-field image sensor may be exposed near the start of a near-field illumination pulse, and a far-field image sensor may be exposed between pulses of the near-field illumination. Some embodiments, additionally or alternatively, are configured for detecting an illuminator switch event, deactivating the near-field illuminator source, and producing, using a far-field illuminator source, a far-field illumination. Upon switching the illuminator source, some such embodiments are configured for exposing a far-field illuminator near the start of the far-field illumination pulse, and exposing a near-field image sensor near the start of the next available far-field illumination pulse. Such image capture may repeat until a task such as barcode reading is successful.

摘要: Imaging devices, systems, and methods for capturing and processing images for vision applications in a non-fixed environment are described herein. An example device includes: a housing, a depth sensor operable to detect that an object in a range field of view is within a predetermined range from the device, an imaging sensor operable to capture images of an object, and one or more processors that: detect that the object is within the predetermined range in the range FOV; identify a first subset of images in a plurality of images captured by the imaging sensor for generating an identity for the object; and attempt to perform, using a second subset of images in the plurality of images, a decode event for an indicia associated with the object, the indicia visible in the imaging FOV for the second subset of images.

摘要: Imaging devices, systems, and methods for identifying an operation mode of an imaging device and processing imaging data based on the operation mode are described herein. An example device includes: a first imager operable to receive light from a first field of view (FOV) and configured to capture a first imager stream, a second imager operable to receive light from a second FOV and configured to capture a second imager stream, and a vision application processor that: processes at least a portion of the first imager stream and at least a portion of the second imager stream based on at least one of a commencement of a read session, a trigger event, or a decode event; and processes the second imager stream without regard to any of the read session, the trigger event, or the decode event, and process the first imager stream based on the second imager stream.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for providing indications of shutdown states for handheld barcode scanners are disclosed herein. An example handheld barcode scanner includes a power source, a power source monitor, an indicator, and a processor disposed inside a housing. The power source monitor is configured to detect whether the power source has reached a pre-determined amount of discharge at which the internal power source is to be shut down to prevent damage. The processor configured to, when the internal power source has reached the pre-determined amount of discharge: configure the indicator to provide, while the internal power source is in the shutdown state, an indication that the internal power source is shutdown, and configure the internal power source into the shutdown state such that an image sensor, an indicia decoder, and the processor are de-energized.
