Abstract: A refrigeration device includes a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, an evaporator, intake electromagnetic valves and exhaust electromagnetic valves, two-position three-way electromagnetic valves or two-position five-way electromagnetic valves, a cylinder group, a volume-variable airproof container, two-position two-way electromagnetic valves and a generator. The cylinder group is composed of two or more cylinders, refrigerant flows successively through the compressor, the intake electromagnetic valves, the cylinder group, the exhaust electromagnetic valves, the condenser, the expansion valve and the evaporator and finally enters the compressor from the evaporator, the cylinder group can do work to generate electricity through atmospheric pressure in the volume-variable airproof container and compensates for electric energy consumed by the compressor, and therefore the electric energy can be saved.

Abstract: A compressor/motor has fluid processing stages, each having ports through which a fluid is accepted in one volume and expelled in another volume. A system of valves selectively couples the ports to define, for a first process of a cycle, a unidirectional fluid path through the fluid processing stages that expels the fluid from path-adjacent fluid processing stages in incrementally smaller volumes. In a second process of the cycle, a reverse unidirectional fluid path is defined by the valves where the fluid expelled from path-adjacent fluid processing stages is in incrementally larger volumes. A mechanical interface coupled to the fluid processing stages conveys a force to the fluid processing stages to compel the fluid through the fluid path in the first process or conveys the force from the fluid processing stages that is compelled by the fluid traversing the reverse fluid path.

Abstract: An external combustion engine comprises an actuating cylinder in which a piston with rod is mounted for reciprocation, said piston serving as the actuating member, a valve distributor serving as the switching member, as well as a crank gear serving as the converter of the piston reciprocation to the drive shaft revolution. The piston divides the cylinder cavity into two, namely, a rod cavity and a rodless cavity. Each one of the cavities communicates with a source of working fluid via valve distributor. The piston rod is operatively connected with the drive shaft via crank gear. The linear dynamic link is coupled mechanically with the distributor slide valve. The transducer of the current value of the piston position is coupled by means of negative electric feedback to the converter, and mechanically--to the piston rod.

Abstract: A pressure gas engine such as compressed air turbine in which gas flow to a pressure responsive rotor is controlled by a movable valve that is operated by a bellows with means connecting each side of the bellows to the gas in the turbine for substantially equal gas pressure on both the inside and the outside of the bellows. There is also provided a speed control member that closes the gas inlet but that can be opened to any desired degree to achieve a desired speed. A bleed line leads from one side of the bellows so as to regulate the pressure on that side and a speed responsive throttle valve is provided to meter the amount of flow through the bleed line thereby maintaining the desired speed dependent upon the setting of the main supply valve.

Abstract: This invention relates to power tools and more particularly to an air-operated power tool commonly used for automotive or other assembly operations for installing threaded fasteners. The device of this invention shuts off the power tool as it approaches the stall condition. Motor rotation is sensed by transferring a small mass of air in proportion to the speed of the motor but independent of the air expanded to operate the motor. The air transferred is utilized to create a signal which through an air-operated valve shuts the power tool off when the speed is reduced below a predetermined amount as when the torquing cycle is nearing completion.

Abstract: A turbine type air motor including a rotor and driven spindle having automatic speed regulation. The spindle and rotor have cooperating ports to control the flow of air to the rotor, and the spindle has provision for limited twisting movement within the rotor for moving the ports into and out of register. A biasing spring interposed between the spindle and rotor urges the ports normally out of register when the tool is lightly loaded. An increase in the load imposed upon the spindle causes the spindle to retreat relative to the rotor and against the force of the spring to bring the ports into register, thereby to increase the flow of air so that the torque developed by the rotor increases in step with the torque loading imposed on the spindle to maintain speed. In the preferred embodiment the spindle is of hollow construction and compressed air is fed axially into the hollow for transmission into the rotor through radial ports. In one embodiment of the invention the motor is provided with an integral valve interposed in the air line operated by a manual trigger which, upon release, applies braking force to the rotor to inhibit coasting.
