摘要: The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.

摘要: The present invention provides a water management building wrap that may be useable between a frame structure of a building and an exterior building covering. In at least one embodiment, the building wrap comprises a permeable membrane and an extruded polymeric drainage structure secured to the second side of the membrane. In at least one embodiment, the drainage structure includes a plurality of generally vertical members having a first thickness and forming boundaries for generally vertical water drainage channels, and a plurality of generally horizontal members attached to the generally vertical members and having a second thickness less than the first thickness and forming integral joints at intersections of the generally vertical members and the generally horizontal members that provide dimensional stability to maintain the orientation of the generally vertical members and form stable vertical water drainage channels.

Alternatively, a thermal insulation structure includes a plurality of inner air and water vapour permeable insulating layers which entrap air and an inner air and water vapour impermeable film layer separating two said insulating air entrapment layers, the inner layers being sandwiched between first and second outer air, liquid and moisture vapour impermeable outer film layers.

摘要: The invention relates to a vapor barrier for use in the thermal insulation of buildings which can be used, in particular, for thermal insulation procedures in new buildings or in the renovation of old buildings. The vapor barrier in accordance with the invention is thereby capable of achieving water vapor exchange under different ambient conditions. This is achieved by using a material which has a water vapor diffusion resistance which is dependent on the ambient humidity and which also has adequate tensile strength and tear resistance.
