    摘要: A pile head for a screw pile having a top end and a longitudinal axis is provided. The pile head comprises a mounting portion engaging the pile and an extendable portion movably mounted to the mounting portion. The extendable portion is movable relative to the mounting portion, along the longitudinal axis. A first fastening means is used to removably fasten the mounting portion of the pile head to the top end of the pile and preventing unwanted movement of the pile head relative to the pile, along the longitudinal axis. A screw pile, a removable helical member and a body extension for a screw pile are also provided.

    摘要: A device for a pile anchorable in the bottom of a lake or sea and/or in the ground and of the screw- and/or push-type. The device includes a force-transmitting part arranged at an upper portion of a front tubular part of the pile. The force-transmitting part includes either a disk-shaped part with a substantially vertically extending flange directed toward the front tubular part, or a threaded portion along the pile that includes at least approximately one turn around and a cylinder-shaped part extending in a longitudinal direction of the threaded portion and completely around the threaded portion. The front tubular part includes apertures for debouching water and air from the upper portion. The force-transmitting part enables transmitting downwardly directed axial forces and laterally directed horizontal forces to the bottom or ground.

    摘要: A foundation-piering system for lifting and supporting a foundation or structure. The system provides a bracket that includes a seat plate and a pier guide. The seat plate extends horizontally below the foundation to engage the bottom surface thereof. A pad is disposed between the seat plate and the foundation to resist lateral movement of the bracket when under load. The pier guide is provided at a non-vertical angle to enable driving a pier from an initial position laterally adjacent to the foundation to a position that is vertically below the foundation. To install the bracket a face is formed along a bottom edge of the foundation and at an angle corresponding to the angle of the pier guide. The pier guide is abutted against the face when installed to minimize rotational forces encountered by the bracket. The bracket requires no fasteners or other coupling with the foundation.

    摘要: The present disclosure addresses increasing the axial holding capacity of a pile by adding a capacity enhancer in the form of an external ring, cylindrical or otherwise, to the pile, often at the bottom of the pile. Adding the capacity enhancer to the pile increases the axial holding capacity by increasing the surface area of the pile and maximizing the use of the higher soil strength by engaging the higher strength of the deepest soil layer. The axial holding capacity is increased without increasing the overall diameter of the pile or its length, and with a very nominal increase in total weight.

    摘要: A building is reinforced by bonding a foundation slab to piles driven into the earth. Each pile has a cap attached to it at a height selected so that at least a portion of the cap can be captured within the foundation slab when it is poured. Before pouring, reinforcing cables are connected horizontally between selected attachment points on the pile caps and are set to a selected tension. Roof reinforcing cables may also be run from a pile cap upwardly through a wall, generally horizontally so as to capture roofing members, and down through another wall to be attached to a second pile cap.
