摘要:
The invention provides novel δ-endotoxin polypeptides, and variants and fragments thereof, obtained from Bacillus thuringiensis having pesticidal activity against nematodes. Particular embodiments of the invention provide isolated nucleic acids encoding pesticidal proteins, biopesticide compositions, expression cassettes, and transformed microorganisms and plants comprising a nucleic acid of the invention. These compositions find use in methods for controlling pests, especially plant parasitic nematodes.
摘要:
Transgenic plants that are stably resistant to the nematode Meloidogyne chitwoodi are provided, as are methods of making such transgenic plants. The transgenic plants (such as potatoes) are genetically engineered to express interfering RNA that targets the Meloidogyn effector protein Mc16D10L.
摘要:
The invention relates to a non-human multicellular organism carrying a dominant lethal genetic system, the lethal effect of which is conditional, wherein the lethal effect of the lethal system occurs in the natural environment of the organism.
摘要:
The invention relates to identifying and evaluating target coding and non-coding sequences for control of plant parasitic nematodes by inhibiting one or more biological functions, and their use. The invention provides methods and compositions for identification of such sequences and for the control of a plant-parasitic nematode population. By feeding one or more recombinant double-stranded RNA molecules provided by the invention to the nematode, a reduction in disease may be obtained through suppression of nematode gene expression. The invention is also directed to methods for making transgenic plants that express the double-stranded RNA molecules, and the plant cells and plants obtained thereby.
摘要:
The present invention discloses gene targets, constructs and methods for the genetic control of plant disease caused by nematodes of the genus Meloidogyne (root knot nematodes). The present invention relates to achieving a plant protective effect through the identification of target coding sequences and the use of recombinant DNA technologies for post-transcriptionally repressing or inhibiting expression of the target coding sequences in the cells of plant-parasitic nematodes. The disclosed gene targets show significant conservation at the nucleotide level between orthologs from different Meloidogyne species, facilitating genus-wide targeting by RNA interference.

The present invention provides methods and compositions for improving plant health. In particular, application of dicamba or another substrate of DMO, or metabolites thereof including DCSA, to a plant confers tolerance to, or defense against, abiotic or biotic stresses such as oxidative stress including herbicide application, and plant disease, and enhances crop yield. Such application maybe in combination with the application of another herbicide such as glyphosate.

The present invention relates to methods for controlling pest infestation using double stranded RNA molecules. The invention provides methods for making transgenic plants that express the double stranded RNA molecules, as well as pesticidal agents and commodity products produced by the inventive plants. The invention also provides transgenic plants that are resistant to insect pest infestation.

This disclosure concerns methods and compositions for identifying cotton plants that have a reniform nematode resistance trait. Some embodiments concern molecular markers to identify, select, and/or construct reniform nematode resistant plants and germplasm, or to identify and counter-select relatively susceptible plants. This disclosure also concerns cotton plants comprising a reniform nematode resistance trait that are generated by methods utilizing at least one marker described herein.
