    Abstract: Disclosed are a user detection technique, and a method and apparatus for channel estimation in a wireless communication system supporting massive multiple-input multiple-output. The method comprises the steps of: receiving a superimposed signal including a transmission signal of at least one user equipment (UE) from among a plurality of user equipments, wherein each transmission signal includes a pilot signal of a corresponding user equipment; calculating a sample covariance matrix from the received superimposed signal by using the number of antennas of a base station and a pilot signal matrix of the at least one user equipment; calculating a likelihood function indicating the likelihood probability of the received superimposed signal, on the basis of the number of antennas of the base station and the received superimposed signal; detecting a user index set indicating whether or not the plurality of user equipments have transmitted signals, by using the calculated likelihood function and sample covariance matrix; and performing channel estimation of the at least one user equipment that is transmitting the signal, on the basis of the detected user index set.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a memory, a frequency selective surface (FSS) including a plurality of cells, and at least one processor. Each cell of the plurality of cells includes a liquid crystal layer. The at least one processor is configured to receive a signal from another electronic device based on the FSS. The at least one processor is configured to determine refraction information for each cell of the plurality of cells of the FSS based on a difference between first pattern information for the other electronic device and second pattern information for the received signal. The at least one processor is configured to perform a reconfiguration for the FSS based on refraction information for each cell of the plurality of cells of the FSS. The at least one processor is configured to obtain a reconstruction signal from the other electronic device based on the reconfigured FSS.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a multi-level device which has a ternary characteristic and can reduce hysteresis, and a method of manufacturing the same. The multi-level device can have a plurality of turn-on voltages, that is, a plurality of threshold voltages, thereby providing multi-level conductivity as a ternary device characteristic. In addition, a double insulating layer made of a dielectric layer and an organic polymer layer is used as a separation layer for channel layer separation, and by removing the hysteresis due to a trap charge at an interface between a channel layer and an insulating layer, a uniform ternary characteristic can always be maintained, and by forming the channel layer on an organic polymer layer, the channel layer can be more stably formed on the insulating layer.
