    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of frequency components to use in sidelink operation based at least in part on an inter-band carrier aggregation configuration. In some aspects, the set of frequency components includes one or more frequency components in a first frequency band and one or more frequency components in a second frequency band. The UE may communicate with another UE over a sidelink using one or more beams that are selected based at least in part on channel conditions associated with the one or more frequency components in the first frequency band and channel conditions associated with the one or more frequency components in the second frequency band. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that allow for a first user equipment (UE) to forward a transmission from a second UE to a base station. The forwarding techniques may include the first UE performing a decoding procedure on a message received from the second UE via a sidelink communications link. Based on the results of the decoding procedure, the first UE may select an amplify and forward (AF), decode and forward (DF), or a combination thereof to forward the message from the second UE to the base station. The base station may receive the forward messages and, in some cases, a message directly from the second UE, and may determine decoding weights to use to jointly decode the two messages received at the base station.

    Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for enhancement for amplify-and-forward relay. Instead of merely passing received signal from a source, relay may equalize the received signal based on reference signal contained in the received signal, before amplifying and transmitting the signal to a destination. Compared to amplify-and-forward, equalize-and-forward may compensate the received source signal for various imperfections such as channel distortions and phase errors, using demodulation reference signal and phase tracking reference signal. The relay may apply Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to equalize the signal in tone domain.

A transmitter node and a relay node transmit, to a base station, feedback related to complex channel estimates associated with beam pairs providing viable paths for a first link between the transmitter node and the base station, a second link between the relay node and the base station, and a third link between the transmitter node and the relay node. The transmitter node transmits a signal to the base station using a transmit beam associated with a first beam pair and to the relay node using a transmit beam associated with a second beam pair. The base station receives the signal from the transmitter node and an estimate of the signal from the relay node via a receive beam configured based at least in part on the complex channel estimates included in the feedback.     Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a receiver may receive, from a transmitter, a sidelink communication and sidelink control information (SCI), associated with the sidelink communication, that indicates one or more distance parameter and angle parameter combinations for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. The receiver may determine that the receiver satisfies a distance parameter and angle parameter combination of the one or more distance parameter and angle parameter combinations. The receiver may transmit, based at least in part on determining that the receiver satisfies the distance parameter and angle parameter combination, HARQ feedback for the sidelink communication to the transmitter on a sidelink.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish an access link with a base station using one or more of a first beam or a first set of beams. The UE may therefore receive, via the access link, control signaling indicating a first configuration for a sidelink channel. In some examples, the UE may switch from the first configuration to a second configuration for the sidelink channel based on detection of an event for one or more of the first beam or the first set of beams and communicate with a second UE via the sidelink channel using the second configuration.
