Abstract:
The present application provides a WLAN access method. The method includes: obtaining an access location of a UE; obtaining AP access information of the UE at the access location; selecting an AP according to the obtained AP access information to access a WLAN; and sending AP access information of the selected AP to the UE. The present application further provides another WLAN access method and a corresponding apparatus.
Abstract:
A method for determining a service and session continuity (SSC) mode and an apparatus, where the method includes: determining, by a terminal device, a requested SSC mode; and sending a first request message to a first core network element, where the first request message is used to request to establish a first protocol data unit (PDU) session, and the first request message includes a session type of the first PDU session, the requested SSC mode, and first indication information. The first request message sent by the terminal device to the first core network element may carry the first indication information, used to indicate that the SSC mode requested by the terminal device is not allowed to be modified, to prevent a network-side network element from subsequently making an erroneous decision, for example, modifying the requested SSC mode to another SSC mode that is not supported by the terminal device.
Abstract:
A method for processing resource, a communication system, and a mobility management network element are provided. The method includes: receiving, by a mobility management network element in a packet switched (PS) network, a Release Request message sent by an access network of the PS network or a Handoff Complete message sent by a circuit switched (CS) network when a user equipment (UE) is handed over from the PS network to the CS network; and processing, by the mobility management network element of the PS network, resources of the UE in the PS network. Thus, the processing of resources of the UE in the PS network is achieved when the UE is handed over from the PS network to the CS network. A communication system and a mobility management network element are also provided.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for initiating user plane path re-establishment and a communications system are disclosed. The method includes: determining, by a session management function entity based on first location information of a terminal device, a session service area to which a current session of the terminal device belongs; and after receiving second location information of the terminal device sent by a mobility management function entity, if determining that the second location information is not within the session service area, instructing the terminal device to initiate a re-establishment procedure for the current session or initiate a handover procedure. Due to introduction of the session service area, when the terminal device moves back and forth at edges of service areas of two adjacent user plane function entities, a ping-pong effect caused by frequent handover between the two user plane function entities is avoided, and user experience is improved.
Abstract:
A method for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network is provided. The method includes: a user equipment (UE) is handed over or switched from a source network to a target network; a network element on a network side determines whether to detach the UE from the source network, and if yes, the network element on the network side detaches the UE from the source network. A system and a device for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network, and another method for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network are also provided.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method, an apparatus, and a system for accessing a multi-operator core network. The method includes: acquiring, by a second SGSN, an LLC parameter of a first SGSN from an access network device, where the LLC parameter of the first SGSN is sent by the first SGSN to the access network device; and interacting, by the second SGSN, with an MS by using the LLC parameter of the first SGSN.
Abstract:
A method for processing quality of service, an application server, a QoS control network element, and a mobile network id disclosed. The method includes: obtaining initial quality of service QoS information of a user equipment in a mobile network; determining, according to the initial QoS information, to request the mobile network to increase a QoS level of the user equipment; sending a QoS improving request to a QoS control network element to request for increasing the QoS level of the user equipment; and receiving a QoS improving response, where the QoS improving response includes enhanced QoS information assigned by the mobile network for the user equipment. The method for processing quality of service, the application server, the QoS control network element, and the mobile network according to embodiments of the present invention can dynamically adjust the QoS level of the user equipment, thereby improving user experience.
Abstract:
The embodiments of the present invention provide a paging processing method and system and also a serving gateway. The paging processing method includes: detecting, by a serving gateway, a fault of a mobility management element, determining a type of the fault, and reselecting a mobility management element according to the type of the fault; and sending, by the serving gateway, a downlink data notification message to the reselected mobility management element, whereupon the reselected mobility management element sends a paging message to a user equipment UE that is served by the faulty mobility management element before the fault occurs. With the method, system and serving gateway provided in the embodiments of the present invention, user experience is improved effectively.
Abstract:
Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: An access management network element receives a first message, where the first message includes a positioning request of a terminal device, or the first message includes a location information request corresponding to a terminal device. The access management network element sends a second message to a first core network element, where the second message is for requesting to establish or update a first user plane connection, or the second message is for requesting to select a first user plane connection, where the first user plane connection is used to transmit positioning information of the terminal device. Therefore, the access management network element may select a first user plane network element, to support transmission of the related positioning information of the terminal device by using the first user plane network element.
Abstract:
A communication method includes receiving, by a terminal device, first clock source information. The first clock source information corresponds to clock source information of a wireless communication system. The first clock source information indicates that a fifth generation (5G) system clock is useable as a clock source. The method further includes sending, by the terminal device, the first clock source information to an adjacent device.
