Abstract:
This application provides a message processing method and system, and a user plane function UPF device. The method includes: receiving user equipment (UE) authentication information sent by a session management function (SMF) device; matching a received uplink message of the UE with the UE authentication information, and if the matching succeeds, sending the uplink message that includes the UE authentication information to a first application (APP); and performing authentication by the first APP on the UE according to the UE authentication information. In the foregoing process, authentication on the UE does not need to be performed by a remote APP. This simplifies the authentication process, reduces network resource overhead, speeds up authentication on UEs, reduces the latency of UE authentication, and further increases the application switching speed.
Abstract:
This application provides a communication method and apparatus. In the method, a policy control function (PCF) receives request information from a terminal or a service server. The request information requests to establish a first quality of service (QoS) flow for the terminal, and includes first indication information indicating to perform network coding on the first QoS flow. The PCF sends network coding information to an access network device accessed by the terminal and/or the terminal based on the request information. The network coding information includes second indication information indicating a QoS flow on which network coding is to be performed.

An application server switching method, applied to a scenario in which a handover occurs between user plane network elements corresponding to a terminal device, includes obtaining, based on a user plane network element of the user plane network elements after the handover and a correspondence between the user plane network element and an address of a local application server of one or more application servers deployed on a network, the address of the local application server corresponding to the user plane network element after the handover. The correspondence between the user plane network element and the address of the local application server is used to indicate the address of the local application server. The method also includes sending the address of the local application server corresponding to the user plane network element after the handover.

A session management network element receives first information from a first anchor user plane network element anchored by a first session established by a first terminal device, where the first information includes address information of data transmitted between the first terminal device and a second terminal device. The session management network element determines, based on the first information, whether the first terminal device and the second terminal device use a same access network or a same backhaul network. The session management network element determines, when the first terminal device and the second terminal device use the same access network or the same backhaul network, a first network element configured to forward data of the first session.
Abstract:
Embodiments of this application provide a data transmission method, apparatus, and device. In the data transmission method, a first apparatus obtains a first link quality packet message that includes link quality information and indication information. The indication information is used to indicate that the link quality information is buffered. The first apparatus sends the first link quality packet message to a second apparatus, where the first link quality packet message is used by the second apparatus to perform network optimization based on the first link quality packet message. The data transmission method disclosed herein improves network optimization accuracy.

The gateway system includes: a control plane entity connected or integrated with a mobility management network element, and configured to allocate an IP address to user equipment and configure a data path for connecting a user plane entity with a radio access network (RAN), a packet data network (PDN) or another gateway. One or more user plane entities located between the PDN and the RAN and independent of the control plane entity, are configured to forward data on the data path configured by the control plane entity. The gateway system is composed of the control plane entity and the user plane entity, which are independent of each other. The number of user plane entities may be independently changed to adapt to the change of network traffic without replacing all gateway entities, thus making the network deployment more convenient and lower cost.

A method for processing quality of service, an application server, a QoS control network element, and a mobile network id disclosed. The method includes: obtaining initial quality of service QoS information of a user equipment in a mobile network; determining, according to the initial QoS information, to request the mobile network to increase a QoS level of the user equipment; sending a QoS improving request to a QoS control network element to request for increasing the QoS level of the user equipment; and receiving a QoS improving response, where the QoS improving response includes enhanced QoS information assigned by the mobile network for the user equipment. The method for processing quality of service, the application server, the QoS control network element, and the mobile network according to embodiments of the present invention can dynamically adjust the QoS level of the user equipment, thereby improving user experience.
