A media file sharing method, a media file sharing device, and a terminal are provided. The media file sharing device determines a preset selection condition; selects, from a local file, a media file satisfying the preset selection condition as a to-be-shared media file; and shares the to-be-shared media file. Therefore, the to-be-shared media file does not need to be manually selected by a user, which can improve media file sharing efficiency.

The present invention relates to an image compression method and apparatus, where the image compression method includes a step of performing amplitude decreasing processing on a frequency domain coefficient or a quantization coefficient of a to-be-processed image. The image compression method includes: determining a texture direction of the to-be-processed image; and performing amplitude decreasing processing on the frequency domain coefficient or the quantization coefficient of the to-be-processed image according to the texture direction, where the frequency domain coefficient is a coefficient obtained after the image is transformed, and the quantization coefficient is a coefficient obtained after the frequency domain coefficient is quantized. According to embodiments of the present invention, amplitude decreasing processing is performed on a frequency domain coefficient of a to-be-processed image according to a texture direction of the to-be-processed image, which can improve the compression efficiency without affecting subjective quality of the to-be-processed image.

The present invention discloses a video conversion method and apparatus, relates to digital media technologies. A video source is received and compression distortion quality of the video source is acquired. A transcoding policy corresponding to the compression distortion quality of the video source is acquired according to the compression distortion quality of the video source. It is determining, according to the transcoding policy, whether the video source requires transcoding. Transcoding parameters are generated according to the transcoding policy if the video source requires transcoding. The transcoding policy includes target video quality and the transcoding parameters include a target resolution, a target frame rate, and a target bit rate. The video source is converted according to the target resolution, the target frame rate, and the target bit rate, and generating a transcoded video.

A depth image filtering method, and a filtering threshold obtaining method and apparatus are provided. The method in the embodiments of the present invention includes: determining, for each pixel in an adjacent area of a pixel of a to-be-filtered depth image, whether the pixel meets a preset condition; determining a set of pixels meeting the preset condition; and determining a pixel value of the pixel of the to-be-filtered depth image according to pixel values of the pixels in the set. According to the embodiments of the present invention, a ringing effect at an edge of a depth image is effectively removed, and discontinuity of the depth image is reduced, thereby improving quality of a video image.

Technologies for inter prediction for a block in a video are provided. In one example, a method includes: when a size of a current block satisfies a preset condition, parsing a bitstream to obtain a syntax element, where the syntax element includes at least an index of optimal candidate motion information of the current block; determining, based on the syntax element, to construct a first list or a second list for the current block, where the first list is a block-based candidate motion information list, and the second list is a subblock-based candidate motion information list; determining optimal motion information from the first list or the second list based on the index; and predicting the current block based on the optimal motion information. In this method, the block-based candidate motion information list and the subblock-based candidate motion information list are distinguished from each other. This effectively reduces transmission costs of the optimal candidate motion information.

In one example, a method includes: parsing a bitstream to obtain a syntax element, where the syntax element includes at least an index of optimal candidate motion information of a current block; determining, based on the syntax element, to construct a first list or a second list for the current block, where the first list is a block-based candidate motion information list, and the second list is a subblock-based candidate motion information list; determining optimal motion information from the first list or the second list based on the index; and predicting the current block based on the optimal motion information. This effectively reduces transmission costs of the optimal candidate motion information.
