Abstract: A hearable has an audio amplifier circuit coupled to a speaker as a load. The amplifier circuit has current source drive, which attenuates electromagnetically coupled noise of the speaker. In other instances, the amplifier circuit has a first amplifier mode and a second amplifier mode, wherein in the first amplifier mode the amplifier circuit becomes configured to drive the speaker as a voltage source, and in the second amplifier mode the amplifier circuit becomes configured to drive the speaker as a current source. Control logic varies the amplifier circuit between i) the first amplifier mode for larger amplitudes of the audio signal, and ii) the second amplifier mode for smaller amplitudes of the audio signal. Other aspects are also described and claimed.

Abstract: A thermal management system for an electromagnetic induction-power transfer system. The system may include a charging apparatus including a housing that defines an interface surface. An accessory or induction-power consuming apparatus may be positioned proximate to the interface surface. The housing of the charging apparatus may include a power source and a power-transferring coil coupled to the power source and positioned below the interface surface. A thermal mass may be positioned within the housing and spaced apart from the interface surface. The housing may include a thermal path that is configured to conduct heat from the interface surface to the thermal mass.

Abstract: An electronic device may have control circuitry and input-output components. The input-output components may include audio components, sensors, and other devices. A proximity sensor may supply the control circuitry with proximity sensor data. The control circuitry may adjust the audio components or take other suitable action in response to proximity sensor readings from the proximity sensor. The proximity sensor may have a light source such as an infrared laser diode and a light detector that measures a reflected portion of infrared light pulses emitted by the infrared laser diode. The control circuitry may include circuitry for safely producing pulses of emitted light with the light source. This circuitry may include a signal generator that produces ramped pulses, a differentiator that differentiates the ramped pulses to produce differentiated pulses, and an output driver that produces current pulses for the light source based on the differentiated pulses.

Abstract: A dc input circuit receives a dc input voltage. At least four rectification elements are coupled to each other in a diode bridge configuration, where an input of the diode bridge configuration is coupled to the dc input circuit to receive the dc input voltage.
