Abstract: When a head-mounted display acquires data of a display image generated on the basis of position/posture information of a head of a user at time and given a distortion corresponding to the distortion of an eyepiece lens, the head-mounted display corrects the image on the basis of position/posture information of the head at time t for display. Then, the head-mounted display corrects chromatic aberrations on the basis of actual distortion coefficients of the lens, and outputs the image to a display panel.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automated visual trigger profiling and detection within virtual environments are provided. A visual trigger profile may be stored in memory that includes a set of visual trigger characteristics associated with a type of visual sensitivity. Buffered frames of an audiovisual stream that have not yet been displayed may be monitored to identify when a buffered frame includes a threshold level of the visual trigger characteristics associated with the visual sensitivity. A frame modification that decreases the level of the detected visual trigger characteristics associated with the visual sensitivity may be identified and applied to the identified frames. The modified frames may thereafter be presented during the audiovisual stream in place of the original (unmodified) identified frames.

Abstract: A method of video evaluation includes: for a current video frame, generating two or more metrics from the list consisting of an interframe greyscale delta sum of absolute differences between the current and immediately preceding frame, a first interframe colour delta sum of absolute differences for at least a first colour channel between the current and immediately preceding frame, a second interframe colour delta sum of absolute differences for at least a second colour channel different to the first colour channel between the current and immediately preceding frame, for a first colour channel of the current video frame, a delta between mean and current measurements of a property of the first colour channel, the mean being derived over a predetermined period of time, and for a second colour channel of the current video frame, a delta between mean and current measurements of a property of the second colour channel, the mean being derived over a similar predetermined period of time; generating respective z-scores of the generated metrics; summing the z-scores to generate a frame score for the frame; generating a rolling mean of the frame score over a plurality of frames; and identifying the current video frame for further processing if the frame score for the current frame exceeds the rolling mean for a predetermined number of preceding frames.

Supplemental content files associated with an interactive content title may be stored in memory in association with parameters specific to different types of user devices. A current interactive session associated with a first device may be monitored and determined to include a virtual environment presentation associated with the interactive content title. A type of a secondary device associated with the user may be identified. A supplemental content package may be generated for the secondary device based on a selected set of supplemental content and a set of the parameters associated with the type of the secondary device. The supplemental content package may be provided to the secondary device during the current interactive session, and the secondary device may generate a presentation of the selected set of supplemental content files in accordance with the set of parameters.
