摘要: An advertising sign configured for use in combination with an upstanding security system having a detection apparatus. The advertising sign comprises a substrate with a generally rectangularly shaped outer edge configuration. The substrate further has first and second generally parallel and planar surfaces, with a multicolor advertising copy printed in a predetermined pattern across substantially the entirety of one of the planar surfaces with solvent inks thereby yielding protection to the substrate against exposure to atmospheric elements and thereby prolong the usefulness of the sign during use. The substrate also defines an opening spaced a predetermined distance from at least two edges of the printed substrate to facilitate alignment of the opening relative to the detection apparatus of the security system whereby allowing passage of a signal from the detection apparatus of the security system to pass through the substrate. Two opposed edges of the substrate are operably secured together to form an elongated sleeve-like advertisement with a pair of axially aligned open ends. Such advertising sleeve is sized to fit along and about marginal edges of the upstanding security system and with the opening in the substrate facilitating proper alignment of the predetermined pattern on the multicolor advertisement on the sign relative to the upstanding security system. A method of making an advertising sign for use with a security system is also provided.

摘要: An adapter for an implantable cardiac lead, the adapter having a housing with an interior axial opening and an outer surface. The interior axial opening is configured to receive a mating terminal end of the implantable cardiac lead. A plurality of inner contacts are positioned within the interior axial opening and a plurality of outer contacts are positioned on the outer surface. Each of the inner contacts is electrically connected to an outer contact. The inner contacts are configured to electrically link with contacts on the mating terminal end of the implantable cardiac lead when the mating terminal end of the implantable cardiac lead is positioned within the interior opening. The outer surface is configured for connection of the outer contacts to a testing cable, the testing cable providing electrical connectivity with a device for testing the electrical continuity of the cardiac lead. An assembly including an adapter may be used to connect implanted cardiac leads with a testing device.

摘要: A method of handling recyclable materials through the use of distinctive, and relatively rugged plastic bags is provided. Such bags are furnished to one or more communities as part of a recycling program. The bags preferably include source identification codes particular to each community. The bags are filled with recyclable materials, closed, and left at curb side or other location for pick up by collection equipment. The bags, which may be comingled with other, non-recyclable waste materials, are gathered and compacted in order to reduce the volume thereof. The rugged construction of the bags ensures that a relatively high percentage survive the compaction process without spilling the materials contained therein. Bags are then transported to a delivery point where they are separated from other comingled waste materials. Bags may then be emptied and the materials contained therein recycled.

摘要: The present invention comprises a molding composition comprising at least about 70% wt. polypropylene or polypropylene random copolymer; up to about 30 wt. % of a block copolymer composition comprising at least one selectively hydrogenated block copolymer which substantially matches the index of refraction of the polypropylene or polypropylene random copolymer, and up to about 0.70% by wt. of a clarifying agent, wherein the weight % of the total blend is 100%. The present invention also may be a molded article produced from the molding composition. A molded article formed from such a composition at a thickness of 0.125 inches will have a haze of less than about 50% and an instrumented impact toughness of at least 100 inch-lbs at −20° C. to −30° C.

摘要: One embodiment is directed to a distributed antenna system in which a setting for automatic gain control functionality in at least one unit included in the system (for example, in a hub unit or a remote unit) is determined by interpolating between two detected levels measured at that unit while the automatic gain control functionality is operating in two respective predetermined configurations and by interpolating between two target levels that are associated with the two respective predetermined configurations. In one example, the intersection of the two resulting interpolations is used to determine the setting for the automatic gain control functionality.
