    Abstract: A vibration damping device including a support member rotabable about the center of rotation of a rotary element; a restoring force generation member coupled to the support member; an inertial mass body coupled to the support member via the restoring force generation member; and a guided portion and a guide portion provided alternately on one of the restoring force generation member or the inertial mass body. The guide portion guides the guided portion so the restoring force generation member swings along the radial direction of the center of rotation and the inertial mass body swings about the center of rotation when the support member is rotated. A component of a centrifugal force acting on the restoring force generation member is transferred from the guided portion to the guide portion. The restoring force generation member includes two mass bodies facing each other and disposed on sides of the inertial mass body.

    Abstract: A shift control device of a vehicle including an internal combustion engine and a multi-speed transmission in series, the shift control device comprises: a control portion providing a downshift control in which an input shaft rotation speed of the multi-speed transmission is increased through a torque-up of the internal combustion engine toward a post-shift input shaft rotation speed in a neutral state where a release-side engagement device to be released during a downshift of the multi-speed transmission is released, so as to engage an engagement-side engagement device to be engaged after the shift. In the case of a shift pattern having a large internal inertia of the multi-speed transmission, the control portion controls a torque capacity of the engagement-side engagement device to a value greater than zero before starting a torque-up control of the internal combustion engine.

    Abstract: Display devices and programs display a guide image on a display mounted on a vehicle so as to be visually recognized such that the guide image is superimposed on a view ahead of the vehicle. The guide image provides guidance about a travel direction of the vehicle that travels on a travel path after leaving a guide branch point. The devices and programs display the guide image in a manner such that a region overlapping a nearby object present on a near side of the travel path on which the vehicle travels is removed from the guide image.

    Abstract: A vehicle drive device comprises: a power transmission mechanism transmitting a drive power from a drive power source to a plurality of wheels; a differential gear mechanism provided in the power transmission mechanism and distributing the drive power input from the drive power source to the plurality of wheels; a casing housing the power transmission mechanism; and an oil pump sucking a lubricating oil stored in the casing, and the device drives the oil pump in conjunction with rotation of the differential gear mechanism. In the device, a catch tank storing the lubricating oil is provided in the casing, an introduction path is formed in the casing for introducing the lubricating oil scooped up by the differential gear mechanism during backward running of a vehicle into the catch tank, and a discharge oil passage connected to a discharge port of the oil pump is connected to the catch tank.
