Abstract: In a first configuration, the apparatus may be a base station. The base station adjusts a periodicity for performing a beam sweep, sends information indicating the adjusted periodicity for performing a beam sweep, and performs the beam sweep at the adjusted periodicity. In a second configuration, the apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives information indicating a periodicity for performing a beam sweep from a base station, adjusts the periodicity for performing the beam sweep, and performs the beam sweep at the adjusted periodicity. For both configurations, the beam sweep is a plurality of transmissions of a beam in a plurality of different transmit spatial directions by one of the base station or the UE and a plurality of scans of the beam transmissions in a plurality of different scan spatial directions by an other of the one of the base station or the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method may include a UE determining a priority of a UE quality of service over UE thermal efficiency constraints, generating a priority indicator based at least in part on the determined UE quality of service priority, and transmitting to a base station via physical layer signaling, the priority indicator. Another method may include a UE determining a priority of a UE quality of service over UE energy constraints, generating a priority indicator based at least in part on the determined UE quality of service priority, and transmitting to a base station via physical layer signaling, the priority indicator. Yet another method may include a base station receiving a UE priority indicator specifying a UE quality of service priority over thermal efficiency constraints and temporarily prioritizing the UE QoS over UE thermal efficiency constraints based on the received priority indicator.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to beamforming from a vehicle user equipment (UE). In a first aspect, a beamform vector is selected based on beamform data received from a scheduling entity. Here, the beamform data corresponds to a path between a vehicle UE and a base station or another vehicle, and the beamform vector includes respective phases and amplitudes corresponding to each of a plurality of antennas of the vehicle UE. A beam is then generated in accordance with the beamform vector. In another aspect, a database of beamform data is maintained, and beamform data from the database is retrieved. Here, the retrieved beamform data corresponds to a particular location pair that includes a first location associated with a location of a vehicle UE, and a second location associated with a location of a base station or another vehicle. The beamform data is then transmitted to the vehicle UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to wireless communication that is synchronized across different wireless communication spectrum. For example, communication on an unlicensed spectrum may, in response to a particular trigger, switch to a licensed spectrum. Here, the switch may occur in a time synchronized manner (e.g., according to a frame structure). In addition, communication across such spectrum may be synchronized among multiple systems. For example, a controller may specify a reuse pattern to be used by the different systems for communication across unlicensed spectrum and licensed spectrum.

Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to feedback for independent links. For example, channel state feedback may be based on the channel state of multiple links. In some aspects, the independent links may involve a first device (e.g., a user equipment) communicating via different independent links with different devices (e.g., transmit receive points (TRPs) or sets of TRPs). In some scenarios, channel state information (CSI) feedback may take into account the CSI-reference signals (CSI-RSs) from multiple links. For example, CSI feedback may be based on CSI-RSs from multiple links if the antenna sub-arrays for the links are close to one another. As another example, a decision as to whether CSI feedback is to be based on CSI-RSs from multiple links may depend on channel conditions.

Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting, to a wireless communication device, an indicator of current values of time and location obtained by the UE; receiving, from the wireless communication device, measurement data acquired at the wireless communication device and an acknowledgement of the indicator of the current values of time and location; and forwarding the measurement data and the acknowledgement of the indicator of the current values of time and location to a data collector. A method for wireless communication at a wireless communication device includes receiving, from a UE, an indicator of current values of time and location; and transmitting, to the UE, measurement data and an acknowledgement of the indicator of the current values of time and location.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, base stations and user equipments may use a hybrid operation mode to allocate resources in a cellular vehicle-to-everything communication system. For example, a user equipment (e.g., a vehicle) in the system may receive, from a base station, an indication that the user equipment belongs to at least one group of user equipments for group-level resource allocation, receive, from the base station, an allocation of resources including a pool of resources assigned to the at least one group of user equipments, and reserve a subset of resources of the pool of resources for communication to at least one other user equipment. This communication may be an example of a vehicle-to-everything communication over a sidelink communication channel.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for resource allocation in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. A relay node in an IAB network may be assigned a first resource partition that is different from a second resource partition for the child and parent nodes. Based on a resource configuration (e.g., for a slot) of the second resource partition, the relay node may opportunistically utilize the second resource partition for communications. For instance, the relay node may determine a direction table based on the resource configurations of the child and parent nodes, which may be used to perform uplink or downlink communications in one or more symbols of the second resource partition. The relay node may also identify flexible symbols as free or non-free when determining the direction table.
