    Abstract: A wireless communications of a contention-based access procedure that reduces collision of reference signals (e.g., when multiple devices select a same reference signal) may support a relatively high user capacity. For a contention-based access procedure, a user equipment may select at least two reference signals and transmit those at least two reference signals in association with a payload to a base station . The payload may be demodulated using each of the at least two reference signals. Thus, if collision occurs with a first reference signal of the at least two reference signals, the payload may still be demodulated using a second reference signal of the at least two reference signals. A base station may demodulate the payload using either first reference signal or the second reference signal. The base station may transmit, to the wireless communications device, a response based on the demodulated payload.

    Abstract: A new design for an uplink control channel is provided. A User Equipment (UE) determines, based on a tone mapping pattern from a plurality of tone mapping patterns for an uplink control channel, resources for transmitting the uplink control channel, and transmits the uplink control channel using the determined resources. A Base Station (BS) determines a tone mapping pattern from a plurality of tone mapping patterns for an uplink control channel, and transmits information regarding the determined tone mapping pattern to at least one UE. The BS receives the uplink control channel based on the tone mapping pattern.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure are generally directed to design of random access channel (RACH) procedures. For example, certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE).     Abstract: A BS may transmit a first signal using a first group of one or more tones, transmit a second signal using a second group of one or more tones, and transmit a third signal using a third group of one or more tones in a GB between the first and second groups of tones.     Abstract: A method and apparatus for reporting delay budgets for Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) uplink transmissions during wireless communications are described. The method and apparatus include receiving one or more URLLC data packets at a medium access control (MAC) buffer of a user equipment (UE), the one or more URLLC data packets scheduled for transmission to a network entity. The method and apparatus include determining a delay budget for the one or more URLLC data packets at the MAC buffer, the delay budget including information corresponding to an expiration of a transmission deadline. The method and apparatus include transmitting the delay budget to the network entity to allocate resources on an uplink data channel such that transmissions of the one or more URLLC data packets from the UE to the network entity satisfy a reliability threshold.
