    摘要: A sheet conveyance device transports a sheet to a predetermined processing unit, and includes a conveyance belt, a ventilation unit, and a suction unit. The conveyance belt has a first surface and a second surface, and is arranged to be opposed to the processing unit to transport the sheet on the first surface in a predetermined conveyance direction. On an upstream side of the processing unit in the conveyance direction, the ventilation unit blows out wind toward the sheet to adhere the sheet to the first surface of the conveyance belt. The suction unit is arranged to be opposed to the processing unit with the conveyance belt interposed therebetween to generate a negative pressure between the sheet adhered to the first surface by the ventilation unit and the conveyance belt, thereby bringing the sheet into close contact with the first surface of the conveyance belt.

The suction device (40) delimits three separate successive suction sections (41, 42, 43) along the path of travel (15), including a central suction section (42) that extends opposite the inspection device (30), an upstream suction section (41) and a downstream suction section (43).

    摘要: A box machine is retrofitted by removing the upper feed roll, sheet feeder, and by replacing the lower feed roll with a drive shaft. A transport section and a sheet feeder are then inserted into the box machine. The transport section comprises transport wheels driven by the drive shaft which engage a sheet to transport it to the box machine without crushing. The sheet feeder comprises feed wheels driven by a servo motor for feeding the lowermost sheet of a stack to the transport section. A feed interrupter is movable from a raised stop-feed position to a lowered feed position by cams rotated by a servo motor. A controller coordinates the velocity of the feed wheels and position of the feed interrupter. Retrofitted machines eliminate the need to increase Edge Crush Test ratings of sheets from the corrugator 15% to 20% greater than printed in the certificate stamp.

    摘要: A sheet-transporting drum includes sheet-supporting areas each being formed of a first comb segment and a second comb segment having segment teeth. At least one of the comb segments is rotatable for adaptation to a sheet format. A mechanical leading-edge gripper is provided on the first comb segment and a pneumatic trailing-edge gripper is provided on the second comb segment. A mechanical trailing-edge gripper is additionally disposed on the second comb segment and is deactivatable in particular by format adjustments. This advantageously allows either the trailing edge of a sheet to be securely held down mechanically or a full-bleed print to be applied to the sheet when the trailing edge of the sheet is held down pneumatically. A sheet-fed printing machine is also provided.
