摘要: The disclosure relates to a leak detection system for a pneumatic braking system of a vehicle. The pneumatic braking system has a control unit, a pneumatic circuit, and an air tank configured to supply pneumatic pressure to the pneumatic circuit. The pneumatic circuit has a plurality of valves configured to be individually controlled by the control unit. The link detection system includes program code configured, when executed by a processor, to individually control the valves of the pneumatic circuit so as to isolate a sub-circuit of the pneumatic circuit. The leak detection module is configured to monitor a pressure in the pneumatic circuit for leaks, wherein the leak detection module detects a leak in the sub-circuit if the pressure decreases while the sub-circuit is isolated.

The second hydraulic pressure supply unit is connected to only a second subset of the plurality of brakes, the second subset not including any of the brakes of the first subset, such that the second hydraulic pressure supply unit can enable only the second subset of the plurality of brakes to provide braking.

A brake device 101 of the present invention includes a first fluid pressure unit 102p which supplies brake fluid to first wheel cylinders 118a and 118d, a second fluid pressure unit 102s which supplies brake fluid to second wheel cylinders 118b and 118c, and a connection pipe 119 which connects the first fluid pressure unit and the second fluid pressure unit to allow the brake fluid to flow. The first fluid pressure unit and the second fluid pressure unit open a first shut-off valve 104p and a second shut-off valve 104s, respectively, in a case where a failure is detected in at least one of the first fluid pressure unit and the second fluid pressure unit.

摘要: A control arrangement for a brake system having a plurality of electrically-controlled hydraulic valves includes a primary electronic control unit (“ECU”) including a primary microcontroller for selectively providing at least one of electrical power and a control signal in a normal non-failure braking mode. A secondary ECU is electrically connected to the primary ECU via a power connector and a controller area network (“CAN”) communication bus. The secondary ECU obtains electrical power from a wiring system of a vehicle associated with the brake system. A backup microcontroller is associated with a chosen one of the primary and secondary ECUs, receiving electrical power and a control signal from the secondary ECU. The backup microcontroller selectively provides at least one of electrical power and a control signal in a backup braking mode responsive to the control signal from the secondary ECU.

The electric brake system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first block in which a mechanical part mechanically operated in connection with a brake pedal is disposed; a second block in which an electronic part electronically operated and controlled by an electronic control unit is disposed; an emergency module which is operated when the operation of the electronic part is disabled to assist in providing hydraulic pressure; and a connection line which hydraulically connects the first block, the second block, and the emergency module to each other. The first block, the second block, and the emergency module can be installed at positions spaced apart from each other in a vehicle, and thus the mountability of the brake system and the degree of design freedom of the vehicle can be improved.

摘要: An adaptive brake control system for use in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) including a speed control system. The adaptive brake control system includes a distance sensor adapted to measure a distance from an edge of the GSE to an external object and a speed senor adapted to measure a ground speed of the GSE. An actuator, such as a brake actuator, is adapted to cause the speed control system of the GSE to slow or stop the GSE. A controller is functionally associated with the distance sensor, the speed sensor, and the actuator. The controller is adapted to receive inputs from the distance sensor and the speed sensor, and, based on the received inputs, to trigger the actuator to affect slowing or stopping of the GSE.
