摘要： An electrophotographically information recording method of recording the external information on recording paper by forming the information as an electrostatic latent image on a charged photosensitive element and then by electrophotographically treating the electrostatic latent image. When the information can be introduced within the predetermined information introduction time, the recording operations is accomplished by the electrophotographic treatment subsequently to the introduction. When the information cannot be wholly introduced within the predetermined information introduction time, the electrophotographically treating operations excepting the formation of the electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive element and the feed of the recording paper are continued, so that these remaining operations of the formation of the electrostatic latent image and the feed of the recording paper are started immediately after the introduction of the information.

摘要： A compact, readily servicable, office photocopying machine is provided which has pivotally connected upper and lower housing parts. A paper cassette receiver for holding a stack of coated photosensitive copying paper sheets is located at the bottom of the lower housing part. The lower housing part also operably supports a charging station, an exposing station, a developing station, and a fixing station arranged above and within the vertical projection of the stack of sheets in the cassette receiver. A sheet separating station for separating individual sheets from the cassette and a paper reversing guide are provided for transferring individual sheets from the cassette to the charging station. The exit end of the paper reversing guide and the separating station are also arranged above and within the vertical projection of the stack of sheets in the cassette receiver. A slide block with a holder for an original to be copied and an optical system are operably supported at the upper housing part.

摘要： A projection apparatus for forming an image of original on a photosensitive material opposed to the plane of the original. The projection apparatus has a projecting system composed of a plurality of projection optical system arrays. Each individual projection optical system is composed of a first and a second lens coaxially disposed and having a relatively large length as compared with its effective lens diameter respectively. The first lens is an exit side telecentric lens whereas the second one is an incident side telecentric lens. The first lens forms an intermediate image of a portion of the original on a plane between the first and second lenses and the second lens reforms the intermediate image on the photosensitive material.

摘要： Graphics and text data are combined selectively to discharge incremental areas of a charged electrophotographic member to form thereon a latent text and/or graphics image represented by the graphics and text data, the imaged member thereafter being toned and output from the system so that the toned image may be fused on the member and the member may be used as a printing plate in an offset lithographic printing press. The apparatus includes an optical system that may form a maximum of 22 individual rays which are deflected twice through a field flattening lens and then onto the charged member. The optical system further includes an optical scale or grating which provides electrical signals indicating the precise location of the individual rays along scan lines on the member. The apparatus further includes an electronic system which generates electrical signals from the graphics and text data to form the 22 individual rays. The text data is used to modulate signals produced by the graphics data, the result of the modulation being beam control signals used to form the 22 individual rays. The apparatus further includes a toning system that provides a vertical meniscus of toning fluid, the meniscus being essentially stationary with the electrophotographic member as the electrophotographic member is rotated past the toning station.

摘要： A compact, table top plain paper copy machine has a teardrop shaped photoreceptor belt. A reciprocating carriage scan exposes an original document to the photoreceptor through an optical system having a Z-shaped optical path. The optical system and a number of other processing stations are located directly underneath the carriage thereby contributing to the overall compactness of the machine. A pair of pressure fusing rollers fix a dry toned image to a plain paper copy sheet, so that no energy is required to maintain the machine in a warm-up or stand-by mode of operation.

摘要： Photocopier scanning apparatus wherein a scanning carriage is mechanically driven by a pair of flexible cables acting on the carriage at widely spaced points on either side of its center of gravity. The cables may be electrically conductive to energize an illuminating lamp mounted on the carriage. The carriage rests on glass slides having arcuate surface portions and is further urged thereagainst by forces from permanent magnets. The carriage is resiliently biased to return to an initial position. The velocity with which the carriage returns is limited; and the return velocity is further damped adjacent the initial position.
