    摘要: A scanning apparatus of a copying machine includes a first moving frame and a second moving frame constituting a movable optical system for reading an original image; a toothed belt suspended between a pair of pulleys such that the toothed belt is endlessly movable; the first moving frame being fixed; a second moving frame driving pulley installed on the second moving frame and which is driven by the toothed belt; a friction roller which rotates in a body with the second moving frame driving pulley; and a stationary friction plate installed so as to be brought in contact with the friction roller. The scanning apparatus has a simple construction, and a stable and high performance in reading an original image can be obtained.

    摘要: A document scanning apparatus including a light source, first and second optical scanner systems optically coupled in series, an image forming lens supported on a lens support member including a lens base and a driving system including pulleys and driving wires, for moving the first and second optical scanner systems relative to each other and the lens. For the purpose of re-establishing a predetermined alignment of the first and second optical scanner systems in relation to the lens, such as might become necessary upon a breakage or stretching of a driving wire, for example, the first and second optical scanner systems are each provided with at least one reference point defining hole, and the lens base is provided with corresponding reference point holes. Then in the event that adjustment of the positions of the first and second optical scanner systems becomes necessary, the requisite positional alignment can be obtained by aligning the reference point holes of the first and second optical scanner systems with the corresponding reference point holes provided on the lens base. In this way, factory alignment settings can be quickly re-established in the field.

    摘要: Compact optical imaging apparatus for projecting in focus an upright and wrong-reading light image of an information bearing document in an object plane onto a parallel image plane. The apparatus comprises a plurality of lenses located between the object plane and the image plane for projecting a plurality of overlapping segments of a light image along an optical path. A light image of an information bearing document in the object plane is directed to the lenses. A plurality of roof mirrors (i) receive such image segments from the lenses, (ii) reverse and invert such image segments, and (iii) reflect the image segments back through the lenses along the path toward the image plane. The image segments are then directed from the lenses to the image plane to form an upright and wrong-reading image of the information bearing document in the image plane.

The scanning reflector systems move in synchronization and the elements thereof move to maintain a constant optical path length between the original and the photosensitive sheet respectively and the objective.
