摘要: A rubber composition for tire treads contains an inorganic filler containing silica and a diene rubber containing a carboxy-modified polymer. The content of the inorganic filler is from 70 to 170 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber. The content of the silica is from 70 to 160 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the diene rubber. The carboxy-modified polymer is obtained by modifying a styrene-butadiene rubber (A) with a nitrone compound (B) having a carboxy group, and the content of the carboxy-modified polymer in the diene rubber is from 10 to 100 mass %. The content of styrene units in the styrene-butadiene rubber (A) is not less than 36 mass %. The degree of modification of the carboxy-modified polymer is from 0.02 to 4.0 mol %.

摘要: Provided are a tire rubber composition capable of producing a pneumatic tire having excellent rigidity and wear resistance and a pneumatic tire using the same. The tire rubber composition includes 100 parts by mass of a diene rubber (A) and from 1 to 50 parts by mass of elastic microparticles (B), wherein the elastic microparticles (B) have a form of microparticles obtained by crosslinking a crosslinkable oligomer or polymer (b1) in water or an organic solvent, or in the diene rubber (A), and have an average particle size of from 0.001 to 100 μm, the JIS A hardness of a cured product obtained by crosslinking the crosslinkable oligomer or polymer (b1) without use of water, the organic solvent or the diene rubber (A) is greater than 45, and the elongation of the cured product is 200% or greater.

摘要: The present technology provides a rubber composition containing: from 20 to 40 parts by weight of carbon black, from 15 to 30 parts by weight of silica, from 2.0 to 3.5 parts by weight of sulfur, and a sulfur-containing silane coupling agent, per 100 parts by weight of diene rubber that contains from 80 to 100 wt. % of natural rubber, and from 20 to 0 wt. % of isoprene rubber; the total amount of sulfur in the sulfur and the sulfur-containing silane coupling agent being from 2.3 to 4.0 parts by weight.

摘要: Provide are a rubber composition for tire which is excellent in a wet grip performance and abrasion resistance and which has small rolling resistance and a low fuel consumption, and a tire prepared by using the above rubber composition. The rubber composition is prepared by compounding 100 parts by mass of a rubber component comprising a styrene-butadiene rubber or a styrene-butadiene rubber and a butadiene rubber with 2 to 200 parts by mass of carbon black as a reinforcing filler, wherein the carbon black has at least a hydrogen release rate of 0.2% by mass or more and/or a ratio N2SA/CTAB of 1.2 to 1.5 in which N2SA is a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area and CTAB is a cetyltributylammonium bromide adsorption specific surface area, and has a N2SA of 160 to 300 m2/g.

摘要: Particles are prepared in an emulsion using a method that includes providing a first reactant having at least two unsaturated carbon-carbon moieties and a second reactant having at least two Si—H moieties, so long as at least one of the unsaturated carbon-carbon moieties of the first reactant or the Si—H moieties of the second reactant is pendant. The method also includes providing a third reactant having a silicon atom and a condensable reactive group bonded to the silicon atom and also having an unsaturated carbon-carbon moiety and/or a Si—H moiety, providing a hydrosilylation catalyst, and providing a polar liquid. The method further includes combining the first, second, and third reactants to form particles that have a cross-linked network wherein the condensable reactive group is disposed on the particles, and adding a silane having an organic moiety and a condensation leaving group to form the particles.
