摘要: A plastic-made cap for a vial having a lip, the cap being useful as a separation-preventing cap for a plug that seals up an opening of the vial, includes a top wall portion having an outer circumference and centrally defining an opening, and a cylindrical skirt portion extending downwardly from the outer circumference of the top wall portion and being open at its lower end. The skirt portion has an inner diameter (a) greater than an outer diameter (b) of the lip of the vial. The skirt portion is provided on its inner wall with plural ribs formed in a direction perpendicular to the top wall portion. The plural ribs are arranged in pairs at equal angular intervals between the respective pairs of ribs. Further, engagement claws are arranged between the respective pairs of ribs such that the engagement claws can be brought into engagement with an underside of the lip of the vial.

摘要: A pierceable cap 411 may be used for containing sample specimens during storage and transport. The pierceable cap 411 may prevent unwanted escape of sample specimen before transfer with a transfer device 43. The pierceable cap 411 may fit over a vessel 21. An access port in the pierceable cap 411 may allow passage of a tip 41 of a transfer device 43 through the pierceable cap 411. Single or multiple frangible layers 415, 416 may be disposed across the access port. Single frangible layers 415, 416 are configured to prevent venting upon initially being pierced by a transfer device 43 but to allow venting as the transfer device 43 is advanced through the frangible layer 415, 416.

The contact zones (27a, 27b) are situated at different axial heights, such that some contact zones (27a; 27b) come into operating engagement below the bottom shoulder (12), while other contact zones (27a; 27b) remain inoperative.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for loading and storing a vaccine composition, containing the antigen adsorbed on the aluminum adjuvant which (a) comprises (i) loading the composition into a container; and (ii) closing the container with a device in particular acting as a stopper, the surface of the device getting into contact with the composition being coated with a fluoropolymer such as Teflon™ and/or (b) loading the composition into a container wherein the inner surface of which is coated with polymerized silicone. The use of fluoropolymer or polymerized silicone optimizes the adsorbed antigen stability upon storage. In a particular embodiment, the antigen is the hepatitis B surface antigen and the aluminum adjuvant is aluminum oxy hydroxide.

The container includes a penetrable and resealable portion that is resealable, and a container body having a sealed empty chamber in fluid communication with the penetrable and resealable portion for receiving therein a substance. The container also includes a base, a mid-portion, and an upper portion axially spaced from the base on an opposite side of the mid-portion relative to the base. Each of the base and upper portion define a laterally-extending dimension greater than a maximum laterally-extending dimension of the mid-portion. The method of filling the container includes penetrating the penetrable and resealable portion with an injection member and introducing a substance into the chamber, withdrawing the injection member while engaging the base of the body to substantially prevent upward movement of the body, and applying energy to the penetrable and resealable portion to form a gas-tight seal.
