摘要: A device and method are provided for minimizing and/or preventing limb ischemia, such as when a medical device is inserted into a patient’s vasculature that may occlude the vessel. The device may include a tubular member and one or more radially expandable features, such as balloons and/or hydrostatic skeletons, configured to be expanded at a target site, allowing blood to flow around and/or through the radially expandable features.

摘要: Systems and methods for the intravascular treatment of clot material within a blood vessel of a human patient are disclosed herein. A method in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, positioning a distal portion of a catheter proximate to the clot material within the blood vessel. The method can further include coupling a pressure source to the catheter via a tubing subsystem including a valve or other fluid control device and, while the valve is closed, activating the pressure source to charge a vacuum. The valve can then be opened to apply the vacuum to the catheter to thereby aspirate at least a portion of the clot material from the blood vessel and into the catheter.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a vessel shaping device configured to reshape a vessel along a single axis and regulate a blood flow therethrough. The vessel reshaping device generally consists of a frame that can transition to an expanded configuration and can temporarily reshape a vessel, e.g. the inferior vena cava (“IVC”), in a single axis extending perpendicular to a longitudinal axis. The greater the expansion of the reshaping device, the greater the reduction in cross-sectional area and the greater the reduction in flow through the vessel. Modifying a blood flow to the heart as such can improve the symptoms of hypervolemia, leading to increased diuretic efficiency and improve symptoms of congestive heart failure.

摘要: A medical fluid suspension generating apparatus for performing medical procedures includes a Venturi-agitating tip assembly composed of a multi-channel arrangement at a proximal first end thereof and a tip at a distal second end thereof. The apparatus also includes a compressed medical fluid unit fluidly connected to the multi-channel arrangement at a proximal first end of the Venturi-agitating tip assembly and a medical solution fluidly connected to the multi-channel arrangement at a proximal first end of the Venturi-agitating tip assembly. Pressurized sclerosant or other chemical medical solution, from the compressed medical fluid unit, and the medical solution of sclerosant or other chemical medical solution are combined within the Venturi-agitating tip assembly in a manner generating an enriched medical suspension that is ultimately dispensed from the suspension delivery apparatus to spray or wash the inner wall of a lumen.

摘要: A medical device may include a catheter, an expandable member, a cover, and an actuator. The catheter may include a longitudinal axis, proximal and distal ends, and a cover lumen extending from the proximal to the distal end. The expandable member may include proximal and distal ends and may be disposed on a distal section of the catheter. The cover may include a first region that may be disposed along the expandable member, and a second region that may extend along a length of the catheter beyond the proximal end of the expandable member towards the proximal end of the catheter. A first end of the cover may invert into the cover lumen. The actuator may be coupled to the first end of the cover and configured to move the first end of the cover towards the proximal end of the catheter along the longitudinal axis of the catheter.

摘要: A detachment system configured to deliver an implantable medical device to a target location of a body vessel includes a generally hollow distal tube and an engagement system. The distal tube can have an inner lumen having a first diameter therethrough and a narrowed portion positioned on at least a portion of the distal tube and having a second diameter lesser than the first diameter. The engagement system can be slidably disposed within the inner lumen and have a detachment feature connected to the implantable medical device and a locking member engaging the detachment feature and interfacing with the narrowed portion of the distal tube. The locking member is configured to deploy the implantable medical device when the locking member is displaced from the narrowed portion of the distal tube.
