Abstract:
A cooking stone apparatus with a rotatable cooking surface for use in conventional ovens, barbecue grills and the like includes a stationary bottom support plate and a cooking stone rotatably supported on top of the stationary bottom support plate. The cooking stone has a perimeter edge with one or more engagement points for receiving a tangential force without slippage, such that when a tangential force is applied to any of the one or more engagement points, the cooking stone rotates about the perpendicular axis of the support plate.
Abstract:
Cooking apparatus comprises an oven. The oven comprises a cooking chamber, a heated air source and two or more vents through which, in use, heated air can vent from the cooking chamber. The two or more vents comprise at least one lower vent and at least one upper vent. The at least one lower vent is provided at a lower height than the at least one upper vent. The at least one upper vent is controllable to regulate a flow of heated air therethrough.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a disposable box for cooking and transporting a prepared food product, and notably a pizza, which includes a plane horizontal bottom having at least one opening passing through it, a vertical side panel that extends upward around all of the periphery of the bottom, and a horizontal, rigid cooking support plate that rests on the bottom. The cooking support plate has at least one hole passing through it with a vertical orientation. At least one solid portion of the cooking support plate is arranged facing the opening in the bottom.
Abstract:
A cooking device may include a refractory oven and a housing. The refractory oven may define a cooking chamber that may be configured to receive thermal energy from an external heat source. The refractory oven may further define an opening configured to allow foodstuffs to be introduced into the cooking chamber. The refractory oven may be further configured to substantially surround the foodstuffs while the foodstuffs are positioned inside the cooking chamber. The housing may at least partially surround the refractory oven. The housing and the refractory oven may define a heated volume between an external surface of the refractory oven and an internal surface of the housing. The heated volume may be configured to receive thermal energy from the external heat source and to reduce transfer of thermal energy from the cooking chamber through refractory oven.
Abstract:
A cooking appliance includes a housing defining an interior space, a tray assembly positionable within the interior space, the tray assembly configured to support a food product. The cooking appliance further includes at least one lower heating element positioned below the tray assembly within the interior space, at least one upper heating element positioned above the tray assembly within the interior space, and a controller configured to operate the at least one upper and lower heating elements in accordance with a selected mode of a plurality of selectable modes, wherein operating parameters for the at least one upper and lower heating elements vary between the plurality of selectable modes.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a pizza oven accessory (10) for a barbecue. More specifically, the invention relates to a pizza oven accessory (10) for converting a kettle-type barbecue into a pizza oven. The pizza oven accessory (10) includes a hollow body (12) and a food receiving member (14). The hollow body (12) is receivable between a fuel receiving base (100) and a lid (102) of a barbecue so as to define in use a cooking chamber (22) within the hollow body (12) and between the base (100) and lid (102) of the barbecue. The hollow body (12) further defines an access opening (24) through which food is introducible or removable from the cooking chamber (22). The food receiving member (14) on which the food is receivable, is rotatably supported within or in close proximity with the hollow body (12).
Abstract:
A portable baking oven for a pizza or other food item includes a food item heating plate, a base having a heating chamber, and a top cover having a moisture vent and a heat reflector structure extending across the inside of said top cover. When placed on said base, the top cover forms a baking chamber above the heating plate. Heat produced in the base's heating chamber circulates up through air passageways in the base into the baking chamber above the food item heating plate. This circulated heat is reflected back down toward the food item heating plate by the top cover's heat reflecting structure to accelerate baking of the top of a food item placed on the heating plate. The top cover's moisture vent can be located above the heat reflector structure in the top cover, and openings can be provided in the heat reflector structure which allow moisture emitted by a food item being baked in the oven to pass through the reflector structure and out through the top cover moisture vent.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for supporting, baking and browning flat bread or a tortilla shell for use as a pizza pie base. The cooking device configured to cook sliced root vegetables in microwave oven. The pizza crust cooking device further including ridges with vent holes along the crest of the ridges that allow heat to flow to the food placed thereon. This results in very quick cooking giving the food crispy crunchy textures, using no fat oil or grease.
Abstract:
A device to bake farinaceous foods such as cakes, cookies, breads, pies, and pizzas more rapidly and flavorfully, with retention of desire food textures and reduced risk of burning by the use of intermittent application of radiant energy. The preferred embodiment rotates farinaceous ingredients in front of a radiant heat source. The preferred embodiment may control oven temperatures by regulating the amount of outside cool air fan forced into the oven cavity.
Abstract:
